Orthopedics is that branch of medicine concerned with the
bones, joints, muscles and associated structures. Treatment

and strength, to decrease pain and swelling and to instruct the

Surgeons, Lancaster Osteopathic Medical Society, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Lancaster City & County
Medical Society. Dr. Dragann, who has a teaching affiliation with PCOM, has
specialty interests in hand surgery and joint replacement.
Brian J. Keener, M.D.
a native of Maryland, received his undergraduate
degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia.
He then went on to the Pennsylvania State University
School of Medicine in Hershey for his M.D. degree. After
completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the
Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Dr. Keener completed
his fellowship training in hand and upper extremity
surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Certified
by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Keener
is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society as well as the Mennonite Medical Association. Dr. Keener has a special interest in hand and upper
extremity problems affecting patients of all ages.

Pittsburgh. Dr. Kuntz, Jr., is certified by the American
Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a member of the

the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society. Dr. Kuntz, Jr. has
a special interest in surgery of the hand and wrist and also in reconstructive hand surgery. He participates in the residents’ training program at the

He has been practicing in Berks and Lancaster County
since finishing his fellowship in 2009. Dr. Troxell’s clinical
practice includes operative and nonoperative management of sports injuries, fractures, and degenerative/arthritic conditions. Among his special interests are the
arthroscopic treatment of knee, shoulder, and hip injuries. He has significant
experience working as a team physician at the high school, collegiate and
professional sports levels. A board-eligible orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Troxell is
a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic
Academy of Orthopedics, a candidate member of the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine,
and an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He
is certified in Oxford Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty.

Medicine in Hershey. He completed a Spinal Cord Injury
Surgical Fellowship at the Midwest Regional Spinal Cord
Injury Unit in Chicago. Dr. Tymon is certified by the
American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the following professional societies: American
Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Pennsylvania Medical
Society and the Lancaster City and County Medical Society. Dr. Tymon participates in the training of the Lancaster General Hospital
residents. He has special interest in shoulder and knee surgery.
Gary M. Zartman, M.D.
is a native of Colorado, however his family tree has
roots in the Brickerville area of Lancaster County. He has a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and his M.D. from the
University of Colorado, Denver. Dr. Zartman performed

in Atlanta. Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery since 1998, Dr. Tuckman has been practicing orthopedic surgery in Reading and Lancaster since 1999. Dr.
Tuckman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society, the Pennsylvania
Orthopedic Society, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Tuckman has

Typically, we combine multiple techniques in a manner that is very unique to
LOG, providing the most cutting-edge physical therapy treatment available.
LOG’s Sports Rehabilitation provides physical therapy to active individuals of
all ages, from the professional, collegiate, and high school athlete, to the
weekend warrior and senior athlete. Individuals of all ages can benefit from
this service.

Dale R. Edgell, DPT
earned his Physical Therapy Degree from the University of
Miami (FL) in 1992, a year after receiving his Bachelor of Health Science degree from the
University. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple
University in 2004. Prior to working in an orthopedic practice, Dale worked
at Lancaster General Hospital as the coordinator of Orthopedic/Outpatient
Services. He also worked as a physical therapist in a Lancaster private
practice. Dale joined Orthopedic Consultants in 1997, which became part
of Lancaster Orthopedic Group in 2011. A member of the American Physical
Therapy Association (APTA), Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association and
the Sports Medicine Section of the APTA, Dale has twenty years of experience in the physical therapy field, primarily in orthopedics. He enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and
sports related injuries and has special interest in foot biomechanics, running mechanics and
custom orthotic fabrication. Dale manages LOG’s Physical Therapy Clinic at the West Fulton
Street office in Ephrata.
Brett Garman, DPT received his B.A. in Exercise Science from Messiah College
and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. Immediately after graduating from Arcadia in 2002, he worked for Lancaster
General Hospital in the acute care setting. Brett has been a physical
therapist with LOG since 2005. He manages the outpatient orthopedics
clinic at the Ephrata office. His interests are in shoulder, knee, and
sports injury rehabilitation. Brett manages LOG’s Physical Therapy Clinic
at the Martin Avenue office (ECH Health Pavilion) in Ephrata.

LOG is currently staffed by a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports
Physical Therapy, along with General Orthopedic Physical Therapists, making
LOG the leading provider in Sports Rehabilitation. Our staff also includes Certified Hand Therapists who provide extensive rehabilitation to injured hands,
wrists, elbows and shoulders. We have a comprehensive Industrial Rehabilitation program, promoting a timely and safe return of injured employees to
their previous level of function and, ultimately, their jobs.
Chris Martin, PT, SCS, ATC
received his B.A. in Sports Medicine from Messiah
College in 1992 and earned his Masters in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in
1995. At Rutgers, he received both clinical and academic excellence awards. In 2004,
Chris earned his Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy through the
American Physical Therapy Association. He is the only Physical Therapist
with this certification in South Central PA. As one of five-hundred Physical
Therapists with this specialization in the country, he is also one of twohundred with an additional license in Athletic Training. Chris is a Clinical
Instructor with the Sports Medicine program at Messiah College and works
closely with Prestige Gymnastics of Lancaster. He has extensive experience in rehabilitating athletes of all backgrounds and ages. He also performs custom orthotic fabrication
for foot, knee and hip pathologies. Chris is the director of LOG Physical Therapy and also
manages the PT clinic at the Granite Run office.
Margaret “Midge” Sholl, PT is a 1989 graduate Temple University’s Physical Therapy program. Since graduating, she has gained almost 20 years of experience of
managing numerous facilities. Midge has spent the majority of her career
doing outpatient orthopedics with many of those years in the industrial
rehabilitation field. Her clinical expertise is in rehabilitation of the spine.
Midge spent several years managing 4 outpatient sites for Healthsouth
Rehab Hospital of York, PA. After a 3 year stint of owning and managing
her own outpatient clinic in York, she returned to Lancaster to work in
a busy outpatient orthopedic clinic focusing on general orthopedics and sports medicine.

Kevin E. Urbansky, PT completed his physical therapy education at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree. He graduated
Summa Cum Laude in 1978. Prior to this, he attended Penn State University in University
Park for his undergraduate education. Prior to working in an orthopedic
practice, Kevin worked as a physical therapist at Community Hospital of
Lancaster and was the chief physical therapist at Lebanon Valley General
Hospital. He joined Orthopedic Consultants in 1983, which became part
of LOG in 2011. Kevin delights in using his 30+ years experience to return
orthopedic patients, young and old, to their optimum function. He is a
member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Orthopedic Section
of the APTA, and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. Kevin manages the LOG
Physical Therapy Clinic at the Lampeter Road office in Lancaster.
Shelly Brosey, OTR/L, CHT is a 1996 graduate of Elizabethtown College where
she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She received her specialty
certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2003. Specializing in treatment of
patients with both traumatic and non-traumatic upper extremity injuries,
Shelly is qualified to treat the hand, wrist, forearm, upper arm and some
shoulder conditions. Early pain and symptom management, gradual return
to movement, activity modification, splinting, patient education and a
home exercise program are all methods she uses to treat the patients

Amber Thompson, OTR/L, CHT is a graduate of College Misericordia (Dallas, PA)
where she received a Bachelor of Health Science Degree with a minor in psychology as well
as a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She received a certificate of Hand and Upper
Quarter Rehabilitation from Drexel University and attained her additional
credentials as a Certified Hand Therapist in December of 2009. As an
occupational therapist, Amber has specialized in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation since 2004. She is also skilled in splinting the hand and
upper extremity with thermoplastic materials and serial casting. Amber
has gained experience treating diagnoses such as tendonitis, amputations,
fractures, tendon repairs and transfers, and several pathologies of the hand, elbow, and
shoulder. Also a member of ASHT, Amber works exclusively at the Granite Run office.
