The success of tonight’s 30th Showcase event is possible only by the dedication and
hard work of our amazing Chair Couples, staff, and the generous support of our
donors … of which we are most fortunate to have. The generosity of our community
truly speaks volumes regarding the passion and conviction for our school, and
Catholic education. St. Vincent-St. Mary High School has stayed true to its mission. It is our goal to fill
the heart with faith, educate the mind and develop the body of every student. We are
building upon the dream of so many to truly provide our students a complete high
school experience.
Students come to St. Vincent-St. Mary for many reasons. Some come to follow a
dream … others come to find a dream. What they all find is a Catholic community
where teachers, coaches and administrators take time to care and insist on the highest
standards of academic performance and behavior. The eyes of a student from St.
Vincent-St. Mary High School are filled with endless possibilities.

Welcome to the 30th annual St. Vincent-St. Mary High School Showcase celebration.
Tonight we continue that great tradition by honoring 30 years of Showcase couples
and their lasting commitment to our school. We also celebrate 30 years of Irish
generosity from those whose sustained dedication to STVM have helped bring
visibility and excellence to our school.
Each of these individual honorees and generous supporters have made significant
and positive impacts on the lives of those they touch, many having learned those
early lessons to treat others as family right here on North Maple Street.
Thank you for your support and generosity. You affirm the work of countless
individuals who have contributed their time, creative passions and team play to
make this evening a successful and significant statement for our wonderful school.

On this 30th Pearl Anniversary, we
recognize the past 29 years of Showcase
couples. These dedicated individuals
showcased their talents, provided support
and inspiration through the generations
to enrich the Progress and Possibilities at
St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
St. Vincent-St. Mary is in the heart of Akron,
Ohio where scholars learn, where athletes
excel, where artists create, and where leaders
grow. It is a place where young people
find both comfort and challenge, a place
where they gain the preparation they need
to compete in the finest colleges, a place
where they mature into courageous and
compassionate, virtuous and visionary men
and women; the type of adults that our world
needs. Our students truly are our future
community - and world - leaders!
The annual Showcase auction is the school’s
largest fundraising event. Your support opens
important doors for students both inside and
outside the classroom. Funds raised from
Showcase, Pearls. Progress. Possibilities., will
help provide tuition assistance to deserving
students, create enhanced academic
opportunities, and improve classroom
resources for teachers and students.

Auction
Silent Auction Rules
The silent Auction area opens for bidding at 5:30 when doors open.
All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items.
The silent Auction Sections will all close at the same time, at the conclusion of the Live Auction.
Live Auction Rules
The live Auction will begin when everyone is served dinner and will continue without interruption until
all items have been auctioned
STVM reserves the right to withdraw from the auction any items for which bids have not been reached a
satisfactory level.
All sales are final. The highest bidder will be acknowledged by the auctioneer and given a statement to sign
as to the amount due by a designated runner. There will be no exchanges or refunds. As to any disputes,
the decision of the auctioneer will be final.
Overall Rules of Auctions
The live Auction will begin when everyone is served dinner and will continue purchasers are asked to respect
restrictions stipulated by donors and not request changes or additions.
Although the utmost effort has been made to accurately describe all items, the auctioneer and/or
St. Vincent-St. Mary High School shall not be responsible for correct description, authenticity, genuineness or
any defect in any item and makes absolutely no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance will be made,
nor sale set aside, on account of any incorrectness or error in cataloging. No deductions will be allowed on
damage articles as all goods being exposed for public sale and are sold ‘as is’ and without recourse.
Published values are estimates only and are not warranted by STVM for general value or tax purposes.
All items must be used by the date specified on the certificate and/or other instructions by the donor.
Make all vacation and reservations will in Advance. Dates for dinners, vacation homes, etc.. must be made
within one year of purchase, with regard to date restrictions as listed. STVM encourages buyers to contact the
donating party within one month following Showcase to make arrangements.
What is BidPal Network?
For the first time in Showcase history, we are excited to offer BidPal bidding for Showcase 2016 The BidPal
hand-held bidding program revolutionizes charitable giving by wirelessly automating the bidding process
and auction end wrap-up.
With BidPal, there are no bar code stickers or paper bid sheets. The auction and audience will be electrified
with instant outbid notices. This is the most user-friendly bidding model in the charitable event industry.
This exciting program aligns STVM’s continued focus to remain aligned with the continued advancements
in science and technology. Bid early and often and have fun with your new bidding style!
If you experience any challenges with your bidding efforts and intentions, please see an STVM Student
Ambassador or BidPal representative for quick resolution.
General Rules for Payment
Payment by the successful bidder is to be made the evening of April 16, 2016. Payments may be made by
cash, chceck, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. Payment that evening is mandatory.
Items may be removed April 18,2015 only by exhibiting a PAID receipt.
All auction items must be removed from STVM on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
If you are unable to take the items this evening, pick up hours may be scheduled with the Advancement
Department, by calling 330.253.9113 x152 or email at [email protected].
All bidders by virtue of accepting their assigned bid number and device, agree that they have read these
rules and agree to be bound thereby.
Cashiers will open at 9:45 p.m. or 15 minutes after the last live auction item is auctioned.
Follow the auction accounting procedures presented during registration.
Cash, Check, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express are welcome.
Present PAID receipt to workers at the auction tables to receive your purchased items.
