Brandy Butter is a rich sweet sauce usually
consumed at Christmas. The butter is served
cold and provides a great contrast with a hot
pudding. The perfect accompaniment to a
‘Tiptree’ Christmas Pudding.
A rich, dark plum conserve with a
strong fruity flavour reminiscent of
mulled wine, backed up by the smell
of cinnamon and the warmth of
mixed spices.

Christmas Puddings
The most traditional of English puddings are made here at Tiptree from the highest quality ing redients, including
French brandy and thick cut ‘Tawny’ Orange Mar malade. Each pudding is hand filled in a ‘Tiptree’ ceramic basin,
covered with a tie-on cloth and cellophane wrapped before being placed in a rigid box ready for steaming or
microwave cooking. Tiptree puddings will taste better if steamed, be careful not to over-cook if you choose to
use a microwave oven and always refer to the manual for your par ticular oven.
Christmas lunch is the most important meal of the year - be sure to finish it in style.

OUR OTHER BRANDS
Thursday Cottage was started in 1963 in a cottage of the same name outside Spaxton,
Somerset. For many years, the business was then owned and run by Hugh and Pam Corbin
from Lyme Regis, until they sold it to Wilkin & Sons in 2002.
Thursday Cottage are now based at Trewlands Farm in Tiptree, Essex and still operate a
small production unit where a variety of different preserves, curds and marmalades are
made by hand. The ingredients, the open pan cooking and our products' distinctive taste
and character are little changed from when the company was based in the West Country.
All products are made in small batches and are filled by hand where possible because it
keeps the fruit whole and we believe, makes a better product.

jules & sharpie began making their hot preservaments in 2002 and have won many awards.
Now made by the Thursday Cottage team here in Essex, jules & sharpie products are hand
made with good natural ingredients. They contain no additives, preservatives, colourings or
flavourings; no salt or gluten. These versatile jellies, chutneys and sauces are suitable for
vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs and can be used as an ingredient or condiment.
Cole’s was originally established as A J Cole in Essex in 1939 and in 2010 became part of
the Wilkin & Sons family of businesses.
Based in Great Chesterford, Essex, our business concentrates on the production of quality
Christmas and ambient puddings, using the expertise we have gained over the years. This,
together with classic recipes made from the finest ingredients and employing traditional
methods of manufacture enables Cole’s to produce truly great British puddings.

Each ‘Tiptree’ tea room has a character of its own,
