Class of 2016 AHSAA Student
Leadership Group Selected
The 2016 AHSAA Student Leadership Class has been selected from the
nominations submitted by member
schools. Joining last year’s inaugural
class of student leadership participants
are 16 student-athletes (eight boys and
eight girls). Two were selected from
each of the AHSAA’s eight districts.
All were recommended by their teachers
and/or administrators and chosen from
a group of about 150 applications.
The AHSAA is looking forward to
another great leadership conference with
these new additions to our outstanding
inaugural class from last year.
Those selected will participate in a
two-day conference April 4-5 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Mont-
gomery. During their time at the conference, they will learn more about the
AHSAA, speak with executive director
Steve Savarese, have group sessions with
leadership clinician Jack Williams, CEO
of the IDEALS leadership program, and
visit educational venues in Montgomery.
The feedback from last year’s conference was extremely positive, and with
the inaugural class helping coordinate
this year’s conference, this year’s leadership conference will be even better.
