ORAC 85 FAULT FINDING CHART CAUSE FAULT MACHINE WILL NOT POWER UP AND COOLING FAN AT REAR OF HACHINE IS NOT RUNNING ACTION (i) INCOMING SUPPLY HAS FAILED CUSTOMER TO MAKE GOOD (ii) MAINS INPUT FUSE BLOWN REPLACE FUSE FSl 6.3A ANTI SURGE IF FUSE CONTINUES TO BLOW REFER TO DENFORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT MACHINE WILL NOT POVER UP (COOLING FAN RUNNING BUT NO V.D.U, AXIS MOVEMENT OR SPINDLE ROTATION) REFER TO DIAGRAMS M2105, 2123 POWER SUPPLY FAULTY IN THE COMPUTER RACK REMOVE POVER SUPPLY CHECK FUSE. REPLACE AS NECESSARY, IF R6 AND R5 ARE SWITCHING CHECK AT TB1 1951 PCB (REFER TO DRAWING NUMBER S2109) AT TERMINALS 6 & 7, THAT START CIRCUIT IS MADE AND 7 & 8 STOP CIRCUIT IS HADE IF GOOD CHECK TB2, 3 & 4 START CIRCUIT IS MAKING IF NOT CHANGE 1951 PCB. NO DC CONTROL VOLTAGE CHECK OUTPUT VOLTAGE AT T82, 1 , 2 (O-lOV-DCl IF NOT PRESENT CHANGE 1951 PCB IF VOLTAGE STILL NOT GOOD CHANGE TIOC PCB IN COMPUTER RACK FAULTY DRIVE UNIT IF STOP CIRCUITS ARE FUNCTIONAL TH£ SIGNAL OUTPUT VOLTAGE IS GOOD, THE DRIVE UNIT HAS 240V MAINS SUPPLY AND THERE IS NO OUTPUT SUPPLY TO THE MOTOR, THE DRIVE UNIT IS FAULTY, REPLACE DRIVE UNIT. FIRST CHECK MOTOR HAS NO SHORT CIRCUITS BETWEEN WINDINGS AND TO EARTH FAULTY 110TOR IF VOLTAGE IS PRESENT AT THE MOTOR TERMINAL AND IS NOT TURNING CHECK MOTOR WINDINGS AND REPLACE HorOR ---------------,--------------------,------------------CAUSE FAULT DATA ENTRY UNABLE TO LOAD PROGRAMME FROM CASSETTE OR WRITE TO CASSETTE ACTION (i) FAULTY TAPE CASSETTE TRY NEW TAPE (i i) DATA TIMING OUT OF SPEC.
