EXCITING PLANS
FOR 2016
Broadway Plus
The Heritage Foundation is investing in creating a stronger
arts offer for Letchworth Garden City. Building on the success
of Broadway Cinema, our arts venues are being brought
together under the umbrella of the Broadway name. Plans
include refurbishing the Arts Centre and building a new theatre
at Broadway Cinema, which will attract audiences from around
the region and beyond. We have also introduced a new loyalty
scheme, Broadway Plus, offering rewards for buying tickets online.
The Broadway name will take the lead for all the
Foundation’s arts venues, with spaces in the former
Letchworth Arts Centre to be known as the Broadway
Gallery and Studio, while our new Broadway Theatre and
thriving Broadway Cinema will share a home in Eastcheap.
Our cinema audience has proved their appetite for a
wider offer by coming out in their hundreds to see
screenings of live ballet, opera and theatre. To build on
this popularity and to meet demand, we think it is time
Letchworth had its own professional theatre in the
town centre.
Start earning points online
Earn 1 point for every £1 you
spend online with us. For every
100 points you collect we’ll give
you £5 off online
www.broadway-cinema.com
Work will begin next February, with screen one of the
cinema being converted to create a live performance
space suitable for plays, comedy, blockbuster films,
music and more.
The Arts Centre is currently being refurbished with an
upgrade and extension to the gallery, a new café and
substantial redecoration. The new Broadway Studio
will offer a flexible space for performance, workshops,
and seminars.
