MID-ATLANTIC PHILADELPHIA OUR PEOPLE. OUR FUTURE. Gerry Timothy BRANCH MANAGER BRANCH TEAM MEMBERS The Philadelphia Branch used 2015 as an opportunity to refocus its business development goals to continue the growth of the office. An increased focus on finding project opportunities and teaming partners in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding counties in southeast PA and southern NJ resulted in MBP becoming members of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County Development Corporation. Key local project wins in 2015 included first-time project opportunities with the University of Pennsylvania and Penn State, with additional project wins from existing local clients including Boeing, IKEA, and Brandywine Senior Living. In addition, the office also relocated from their original location in Berwyn, PA, to Conshohocken, PA (pronounced Con-sho-hock-en) at the end of June and approximately 10 miles closer to center city Philadelphia. 2015 SERVICES Construction Management Philadelphia Construction Inspection Program Management Commissioning/RetroCommissioning Claims/Dispute Resolution CPM Scheduling Cost Estimating Construction Closeout Constructibility Review Value Engineering Other Construction Management CPM Scheduling Construction Inspection Cost Estimating Program Management Construction Closeout Commissioning/ Retro-Commissioning Constructibility Review Claims/Dispute Resolution Other Value Engineering Doug Bachman Senior Cx Agent Monique Belisle Administrative Assistant Mike Fox Construction Manager Bob Fraga VP/Regional Manager Keith Maxwell Senior Consultant Justin Miller Lead Cx Engineer Eric Pearson Senior Consultant Jeff Price Cx Engineer Don Terch Senior Consultant TARGET CLIENTS/INITIATIVES • The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – Healthcare • Penn Medicine – Healthcare • Wexford Science + Technology – Commercial Office • Drexel University – Higher Education • Villanova University – Higher Education 2015 BRANCH MILESTONES Mike Fox Length of service: 1 month. NATIONAL CAPITAL COLUMBIA OPERATIONS MANAGER BRANCH TEAM MEMBERS Project Manager James Arnone Project Manager Jon Badger Project Inspector Ron Bard Senior Engineer Dan Elliott Project Manager Heather Howard Senior Consultant 2015 was a year of change for the Columbia Branch. As a result of the company’s realignment, the branch started the year with the formation of a new region, the National Capital Region (NCR). Led by Regional Manager, Mairav Mintz, and a new Branch Manager, Mike Bagshaw, in May the management team also grew with the addition of Keith White as the Branch Operations Manager. Over the course of the year, we added seven new team members (Jon Badger, Dan Elliott, Keith White, Vanessa Kargbo, Michael Pierce, Mark Maguire, and Nathan Roe). The branch has been able to secure some key wins that not only helped build our backlog, but also helped to secure work in some of our target markets of cybersecurity (NSA Facility Engineering IDIQ Contract), higher education (University of MD Baltimore CM and Cx IDIQ contracts), and research/life sciences (Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Building 501 and 511 projects). Our analytical team grew in strength and proficiency, employing new technology to improve our efficiency and the quality of our deliverables. With the establishment of the NCR, we have worked to integrate with the Fairfax analytical and commissioning teams leveraging the capabilities of each branch to expand our collective service offering and business development efforts. We have experienced some success and expect the efficiency and strength of the team to continue to grow! NATIONAL CAPITAL FAIRFAX Richard Mouri Ken Macdonald BRANCH MANAGER OPERATIONS MANAGER BRANCH TEAM MEMBERS The Fairfax Branch celebrated another strong performance year in 2015! With 40 team members strong, we are one of MBP’s largest branches and MBP’s first branch. Our team includes a diverse team of construction professionals with skills that allow us to operate as a full-service MBP branch. There are no MBP services we can’t provide. In Northern Virginia, we see promising opportunities to work with our strategic clients and partners. This includes clients such as the Virginia Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and Loudoun County, who value our services and recognize that we enhance their construction programs. With the second fastest growing county in the country, Loudoun County, located in Northern Virginia, we maintain a satellite office in Ashburn, VA, to support our ongoing Construction Engineering and Inspection and Commissioning services. We foresee continued expansion of our project risk management practice, retro-commissioning support, and claims analysis services, and significant opportunities with State Department, the transit market, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the emergence of Glidenet Healthcare Mid-Atlantic LLC. We look forward to what 2016 will bring for our team! nstruction Management 2015 SERVICES Fairfax nstruction Inspection ogram Management mmissioning/Retrommissioning aims/Dispute Resolution M Scheduling st Estimating nstruction Closeout nstructibility Review Construction lue Engineering her Management OUR PEOPLE. She and her husband, Dean purchased over 200 pounds of live crawfish for their annual crawfish boil. They love to cook and serve multi-course wine-paired dinners. And she was one of the few construction workers who was assigned full-time to both the World Trade Center and Pentagon Restoration sites following 9/11. Brad Greeff serves on the board of his condo association and shares his knowledge of computers with the older residents of the building. 2015 TEAM MEMBER MILESTONES • Ken Macdonald and his wife Martha celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary wine touring Napa, CA, and visited San Francisco and the surrounding area. Cheers! • Anahita Rose (Ali Abdolahi’s first granddaughter) was born on the morning of December 21, 2015 at 6:21 AM, three days after Ali’s birthday. RJ Thompson needs to eat 3,450 calories a day to keep from losing weight. Half of his day is spent foraging food from vending machines and quick marts so it’s a good thing he doesn’t have to hunt for all of it. Bob Hayes had to buy a car when he started working here because his motorcycle gets a bit cold during the winter and public transportation doesn’t go to all of our sites. Tom Boyer on the other hand, has gotten off all the boards he has served on, needs to lose weight, has one car too many and no more motorcycles, and enjoys Cowboys football, to the delight of virtually everyone else in this office – especially Marge! Jill Hubbard has organized a monthly happy hour/trivia night for the Silver Line team (and they often win). VIRGINIA Dale Grigg Josh Lawrence BRANCH MANAGER OPERATIONS MANAGER ROANOKE Greetings from the Roanoke Branch. There have been a lot of changes within the Roanoke Branch over the past year, due in part to now being part of the MBP Virginia Region, led by Don Young and Kevin Bocock. The Roanoke Branch is still made up of three offices, with our main office being located in Roanoke since 1994, and with two satellite offices, one in Abingdon and one in Lynchburg. We are excited about the fact that we are in the process of bringing on a new southwest Virginia senior project manager in anticipation of a “growth spurt” in what is typically referred to as the “Bristol District”. We have restructured the branch so that Kevin Wills, CCM, is now managing our vertical support services group. Our branch continues to focus on the support of projects in southwest and central Virginia, with forays into West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. This includes a new contract for CM and PM of West Virginia Schools. Our analytical capacity is growing as well. We have more than 50 full-time team members working throughout the regions we serve. Our biggest client remains the Virginia Department of Transportation with whom we have three inspection contracts supporting work in five districts. Beyond VDOT, we are currently working for Virginia Tech, the City of Lynchburg, the City of Salem, and more recently the City of Roanoke. To operate over such a large area, and to complement the other branches within the entire Virginia region requires a team approach coupled with very capable hard working people. 2015 SERVICES Construction Management OUR PEOPLE.
