Capiz shells, also known as Kapis shells,
are white, translucent shells that are
delicate by nature. They come from a
bivalve that also produces pearls. These
shell products have been crafted in the
Phillipines at one of the most well respected
factories in that region of the world.

PRODUCT SHIPMENT
Casafina products are shipped F.O.B. our warehouse in Brewster, New York.
FEDEX GROUND is the usual carrier unless otherwise requested by the customer. We do not ship via UPS. Due to the fluctuation
in the value of the U.S. dollar, prices are subject to change without notice. Orders will be filled at prices in effect at time of
shipment. We discourage drop shipments (direct to retailer's customers). Should a customer require a drop shipment, a $20.00
service charge will be added to the shipping charges.
OPENING ORDERS
Minimum opening order for a new account is $250.00. This may be assorted across the broad range of all of our product lines.
Initial orders will be shipped C.O.D. or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Master Card or Discover. In order to establish credit with
Casafina, we require at least six trade references as well as one bank reference (please provide account numbers, full
addresses,fax and phone numbers). Credit approval takes approximately 4 weeks. Should you decide to pay by credit card,
complete information (credit card number, expiration date, name on card, billing address and verification code) must be provided
along with the order.
REORDERS
Minimum reorder is $100.00. Any reorder less than minimum will be subject to a $35.00 service charge. Additions to backorders
are subject to Casafina’s approval.
PAYMENT TERMS
Upon credit approval, our terms are Net 30. Any invoices over 30 days old will incur a 2% monthly finance charge. Accounts with a
balance over 90 days old, will be turned over to a collection agency unless a payment plan is arranged. A $35.00 service charge
will be applied to an account for any returned check. No orders will be shipped to a customer with a past due balance. If credit
terms are significantly violated, the account will be placed back on a C.O.D. or Proforma (pre-payment) status. All International
oders will be handled on a Proforma basis.
ORDER CANCELLATION/REFUSALS
Cancellation of orders or backorders will be accepted only if confirmed in writing to Casafina, and received in our office prior to
shipment. Any merchandise which is refused, or ordered in error, is subject to a 15% restocking charge, plus all freight costs,
when returned unbroken and with proper authorization from Casafina.
BACKORDERS
In order to avoid confusion, as well as high shipping costs, Casafina reserves the right to cancel any backorders totaling less than
$50.00 and/or over 90 days old without notice. This is not done automatically. Therefore, should a customer have any backorders
that fall under these categories, please remember to check with Casafina before reordering.
CLAIMS
Claims for damages, shortages or defects, must be made within 10 days of invoice date. Claims will be invalid and denied, if not
handled in the designated time frame. Breakage and other in-transit damages, as well as defective items, must be reported to
Casafina. Customers must keep damaged (broken, cracked or chipped) items in their original outer box and packing material, for
carrier inspection. Casafina will issue a replacement only after the carrier acknowledges the claim. All damaged and defective
items will be credited unless otherwise requested. No cash or credIt card refuNds WIll Be Issued.
Merchandise credit will be applied to the appropriate account. When returning merchandise to Casafina, after obtaining proper
authorization, the customer is responsible for properly packing items to avoid breakage. No credit will be given if the merchandise
is received broken at our warehouse.
PRODUCT QUALITY & SAFETY
Casafina's ceramic and glass products are handmade and hand-painted. It is normal to expect slight design and color variations
from piece to piece. Most items are dishwasher safe, provided they are handled carefully as with any other handmade product.
Hand washing will prolong the life of the product. With respect to our earthenware collections, we do not recommend use in a
microwave oven. Earthenware is low-fired and has a tendency to "craze" (form miniscule lines) with repeated use. This crazing is
the nature of earthenware products and does not have any significant effect on the ceramics. Our Casa Stone Collection, on the
other hand, is STONEWARE. This product is dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe. Those pieces used for eating and
serving purposes, meet the standards established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with regard to lead and
cadmium content. They are safe for family use.
