It's a cultural, spiritual, intellectual and social movement. U rban Cusp’s events have ranged from networking mixers to thought-provoking conversations and workshops. Past panels have included “Black Identity and Culture in Mass Media” and “Myth or Maybe: Men Need Respect - Women Need Love.” Our events have been featured by various online and radio media outlets - most notably our 2012 Election Watch Party in collaboration with The Washington Post. “ - Lauren N. Williams, news editor of Essence Magazine “In the same spirit that inspired civil rights pioneers like Ella Baker, Urban Cusp has created a cutting-edge platform for thought-provoking dialogue on the most pressing social and cultural issues of our day. I am excited about its potential for challenging individuals from all walks of life to think more critically and to live their lives in service of community uplift. I believe that Urban Cusp is truly ‘on the cusp’ of something prolific!” –Van Jones, globally recognized pioneer in human rights “ - Bakari Kitwana, author of “The Hip-Hop Generation” and executive director of Rap Sessions “ “ Urban Cusp is a necessary outlet for our young people. “From reading essays by major intellectuals and key cultural influencers like Tricia Rose and Otis Moss III on her site and increasingly hearing praise for UrbanCusp.com coming from folks within the Black academic and activist communities, it was clear that Rahiel was correct that what she lacked in deep pockets in getting Urban Cusp off the ground, she could broker in relationships by getting folks to buy into the need for the idea. And whereas my initial instinct was that Rahiel’s idea of marrying the concept of “faith” to this vision would be a liability, it became clear that it was an asset for more thoroughly engaging 20-and 30-somethings, as she had imagined.” Urban Cusp is beautiful, brilliant and bold. - Tricia Rose, professor and cultural critic www.UrbanCusp.com PRESS & PARTNERS CONTACT FOR SPONSORSHIP AND ADVERTISING INQUIRIES, EMAIL [email protected] FOR MEDIA AND SPEAKING REQUESTS, VISIT WWW.RAHIEL.COM/BOOKING www.UrbanCusp.com Social Media @UrbanCusp / @RahielT Media Kit by: PaintFire [email protected] PaintFireMedia.com
