1st Asia Level Forum on Urban Resilience
and Adaptation
11 - 13 February 2015 | Bangkok, Thailand
6 Global Forum on Urban Resilience and
Adaptation
8 - 10 June 2015 | Bonn, Germany
Research and empirical evidence have
established Asia, and in particular its cities, as
one of global regions most vulnerable to the
impacts of climate change due to rapid and
often unplanned urbanisation. Resilient Cities
Asia will offer Asian cities a variety of innovative
solutions that build resilience to such threats.
Contact [email protected] for more
information.
The congress will focus on driving forward
implementation while encouraging city-regional
partnerships and strong multi-level governance
for smart, adaptive urban areas. Contact
[email protected] to discuss partnership
opportunities for congress sessions, forums, coevents, and exhibiting.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is responsible for
formulating the principles and strategies of German development policy. These then form the
basis of the cooperation projects and programs developed together with partner countries and
international organizations. Sustainable urban development is recognized as a key element in
achieving international climate and development goals and therefore constitutes a significant field
of German development policy.
ICLEI and the Durban Adaptation Charter invite cities attending Resilient Cities 2014 to register
for the carbonn Cities Climate Registry (cCCR) to demonstrate their power and potential to reduce
climate risks and move towards a climate-resilient and low-emissions based development. Come
visit us at our booth to find out more about the cCCR and the Durban Adaptation Charter!
The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) supports decision-makers in developing
countries in designing and delivering climate compatible development. It does this by combining
research, advisory services and knowledge-sharing in support of locally owned and managed policy
processes.
The project “Sustainable City“ will be presented at Ecomondo on 5 - 8 November 2014 in Rimini,
Italy. The key themes of the project are smart home and building, area safety and control, road
network and traffic control, new electric hybrid vehicles, smart metering and smart grid, public
transport, sensors and actuators, systems for cutting energy consumption, new materials and
solutions for sustainable building, intelligent models of waste collection treatment and recycling.
The European Investment Bank is the bank of the European Union. As the largest multilateral
