Sanctuarv Flowetsr The flowers at the tabernacle
this weekend are given by Donald & Virginia Mackowski
in celebration of their 45th Wedding Anniversary.
Peanut Butter Eoq Proiect: Egg makins begins
on February l't. Many volunteers are needed. We need
help to measure ingredients on Monday/Wednesday
early afternoons and on Monday/Wednesday evenings
beginning around 6:0O p.m. to make and bag the eggs,
Many of the generation who established and did this
work over many years can no longer physically do so. If
this project is to continue, we desperately need our 2O30-40 year old members to step up to the plate.
Finally, and obviously, the essential element of the
success of this important fundraiser is selling the eggs.
Don't wait to purchase your desired number of eggs.
They freeze well. They are sold after all the weekend
Masses throughout the season, but we need to reach
out within the community as well. Some people would
take eggs "on consignment" and sell them at their
ptace of work, Many of those people have now retired
or their place of work no longer permits such sales. ff
you have any avenue to sell the eggs, please consider
being an ambassador and take some eggs for sale.
They do sell themselves.
Our Ladv of Lourdes Celebration:
The feast
day of Our Lady of Lourdes, our patron saint, is
Thursday, February 12. However, this year it occurs the
day after Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. We
have, therefore, gotten permission to celebrate our
Feast Day on the previous Sunday, February 7.The
8:OO a.m. and 1O:3O a.m. Masses will be for the feast
day. Since the feast is also the World Day of the Sick,
the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be
offered after both Masses. A reception, sponsored by
our Senior Adult Ministry, will take place after the
lO:30 a.m. Mass, If you have a physically limited
relative or friend who does not normally get to Sunday
Mass, perhaps offer to bring him/her for the Mass, the
Sacrament of the Sick and the reception.

macaroni to the social hall and place it in the box

successful year for this worthy fundraiser. Thank you!
That Man Is You: Welcome back for this
week's
session. This coming week the session will talk about
"Becoming a Man After God's Own Heart". This is a
great time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Lent.
The Devil is a great thief, He comes unnoticed into our
hearts and minds, takes us to places of evil and
pollutes our minds in an attempt to have us fall from
Christ's graces. This season will help us to understand
our goals and how we can unite ourselves securely to
Christ and his grace so he can expand our hearts to be
all that it was created to be. Come join us and
experience the fellowship, we all need, to live our life
in a way that serves our God. We meet Saturday
mornings at 6:3O am in the social Hall,
Food Pantry Needs: Please donate the following
items to New Hope's Food Pantry! soups - canned or
instang soup mixes; broth; bouillon; crackers. Peanut
butter, mayo and tuna are always welcome. Please put
your food in the back of the Narthex. Thank you!
The Parish Historv Committee: is tooking for

concerning our parish and would like to share with our
parishioners. Our parish is celebrating its 9oth
Anniversary this year and is looking for ld Communion
and Confirmation Class pictures (as there are none

clippings or any other items concerning our parish. If
you wish we will make copies of the afticles and return
the originals to you, They can be dropped off at the
Parish office or call Ann Finkle (732-2L9O).
JOIN IN THE WORLDWIDE MISSION OF JESUS!: By our
Baptism, we are all missionaries - called to share our
faith in lesus Christ with our family and friends, with
our neighbors, indeed, with the whole world. Next
weekend, we are invited to make a special commitment
as missionaries. We are invited to join in the worldwide
mission of Jesus by joining the Propagation of the
Faith. fn making this commitment, we pledge to.,.
+PRAY daily for the missionary work of the Church,

those they serve.
