REACH FOR THE RAINBOW
OUR MISSION:
Reach for the Rainbow is a registered charity
serving children and young adults with
developmental and physical disabilities from
across Ontario. Through strategic partnerships
with camps and programs, RFTR works to
provide integrated & inclusive recreational,
respite and outreach opportunities.
• We work with camps and recreation partners
to ensure appropriate training of 1:1
councillors, integration coordinators and
general staff and we then help families
navigate the process of placing their children
in safe, inclusive recreational programs to
great success

• What started out as 20 children attending
residential camp in 1987 has grown to over
530 children in 2015 experiencing safe,
inclusive recreation and camp programs
• To date we have supported over 10,000
children in Ontario

their main respite source
