YOUR CHOICE OF STOVE
The biggest decision to keep in mind when choosing a stove is whether to go with
gas or liquid fuel.
Gas stoves are easy to use. Most people who like to cook in the outdoors
choose a gas stove because of its simplicity. You don’t have to fill it with fuel,
it’s quick to light, and easy to control. The disadvantages of gas stoves are that they
are less powerful when it’s cold, and that it can be difficult to find the right gas canisters. If you want maximum performance and minimum pack size, you should choose
the OPTIMUS CRUX. Folded, you can carry it in your pocket, yet unfolded and at
full power it will boil a liter of water in 3 minutes. The OPTIMUS CRUX LITE is similar to the Crux but doesn’t fold as flat. At 72 g it is one of the world’s lightest stoves!
The OPTIMUS VEGA fills the gap between technical and sometimes challenging
multifuel stoves and pressurized gas stoves where use can be limited in belowfreezing temperatures. It is a high-performance 4-season camp stove with an integrated hose connector.
Multifuel stoves, as the name implies, give you the flexibility of using different
fuels. If you travel abroad a lot, or live out of a backpack for long periods, you
can use whatever fuel is available. And if you like being outdoors throughout the
year, there’s no problem with cooking under cold-weather conditions.
