Call it the Eastern diet or just dropping out of the fast lane. When L.A.’s
‘IT’ girl of 2008 turned down a life of glamour and fame, it was to search
for a better path. Here’s what she learned.

had as an actress was coming true - movies, offers,
sold-out plays, even a full spread in the calendar section
, but I just didn’t feel it - I wasn’t

happy,” says Jaimyse. ‘I was stressed out and full of anxiety,
it was the moment I was forced to re-examine my life”

Jaimyse to the art of yoga which set her on her path. Off
she went to where it all began, India. Under the tutelage of
Guru Vasudevan, she explored and absorbed the ancient
world of ayurveda, a system of healing native to India.
“I ended up living there for a long time, studying their culture,
experiencing for years in Hollywood started to diminish.
Jaimyse returned to Los Angeles - but not to her old ways.
Years later, stronger and fulfilled, her life came full circle.
Mystic Seekers, a new docu-series which she co-created and
produces, follows her travels to mystic places where she and

JAIMYSE CLEANS UP HER ACT
Even the healthiest of lifestyles won’t keep you away from the
toxins we endure by living in the modern world. So a big part
of living well is protection. “I have a water filter at the house,
and I don’t drink water from plastic bottles, because of the
chemical leeching,” says Jaimyse. “It’s amazing that people
aren’t aware [of the dangers of plastic toxins] and chug away
from plastic bottles. They don’t know what they are putting
in their bodies!”
Even with lots of protection, the body occasionally needs
a little housecleaning. Jaimyse does a juice “cleansing” in
winter and spring in order to “give the digestive system a
break” and flush out toxins. “I’m extreme. I started five years
ago with a few days at a time, but now I do it for a week. I will
have one or two juices a day, but the majority of what I drink
is water with ginger in it.”
