Karl Lawrence 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
Catatalog Number 456
The majority of the fruit for Karl Lawrences Napa Valley Caberenet Sauvignon comes from four of the most
acclaimed vineyards in the Napa Valley: Gary Morisoli, Herb Lamb, Beckstoffer-To-Kalon and BeckstofferDr. Crane. Starting with great fruit ensures a great product, but winemaker Michael Karl Trujillo took it one
step further this year, adding small amounts of Cab Franc and Merlot (8% total) to create the most balanced,
complex Karl Lawrence Cab to date. Loaded with black currant, fig and dark chocolate aromas that follow to
the weighty palate, coating the tongue with intense flavor. The acid and tannins are in perfect harmony on
this luscious wine, which is drinking well already and will just continue to improve with time.

Sailboats on the Bay
Made by: 1st grade, Ms. Corsiglia’s Class
Catalog Number 701
To honor The America's Cup being brought back to San Francisco in 2013 the students of Room 16 created
“Sailboats On The Bay”. The nautical blue background represents water of the bay on a sunny day. Students
chose from seven vibrant colors using texture and the patterns of their choice to paint stenciled sailboats on
each small canvas. Stencils were lifted off and students saw their creation. Each piece of work stands on it’s
own yet creates a greater whole representing each student.

Golden Gate Bridge Multi Media Collage
Made by: 1st grade, Ms. Geiger’s Class
Catalog Number 702
Medium: Colored tissue, colored card stock, yarn, glue, acrylic paint & mod podge on canvas. The students
each worked on a different section: some aligned strips of tissue to create the buildings of San Francisco's
skyline, others tore tissue for the ripples of the bay water. Some cut paper rectangles to affix mosaic-style
for the South Tower and roadway, and others punched paper circles to attach to the section of Marin
Headlands in the foreground. And, as a finishing touch, yarn was added to mimic the cables of the bridge.
The resulting image is a unique sunset view of our iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Catalog Number 704
Mixed Media: watercolor, acrylic, collage, rice paper and children’s writing. Canvas 24” x 36”
The children in Ms. Jawor’s class drew and painted on the pages of two books, the Alphabet Tree and Tico
and the Golden Wings. Their work was cut into leaf shapes and collaged onto the tree, which had been
formed onto the children’s persuasive writing, which was the background for this project. Since all of the
children’s leaves made up this tree, it was named “The Friendship Tree” to symbolize how important the
parts are to the whole. Also each leaf, being different and unique is part of the beauty of the tree.
