Referee Corner
Every week QH AYSO will honor a Volunteer who has gone above
and beyond the call of duty. Nominations may come from anyone a coach, player, parent, board member, etc. Forms are available from
your coach or at the Snack Bar and should be placed in the Secretary’s folder in the Board Box located at JW/LP or any Board Member folder in the boxes located at all other fields. The person chosen
by the Board as Volunteer of the Week from all the nominees will
receive their choice of a free QH AYSO hat or shirt; all nominees
will be acknowledged for all their hard work and time!
Our referee pool keeps growing! We now have 142
referees in our region! Thanks to all those who have
volunteered - if it wasn’t for our ref volunteers there
wouldn’t be any games to play!
CONGRATULATIONS to Tarlock Bath! He is the first
ref to reach 20 points and earn a gift certificate to the
AYSO Store!
Many teams have reached the 10 point season cap
for ref points so consider donating to a friend’s
team! Remember, you can only earn a maximum
of 2 point each week.
Our Volunteer of the Week
for October 25th is:
Grace Nua!
Grace Nua volunteers in our Region as a referee.
She has given up many Saturdays, not only this
year, but for many years...and we all know how important that is to a teenager! The U10 Boys Silver
Scorpions send a big thank you!

Referee Coverage
Providing referee coverage is a requirement for all U10-U14 teams. Starting this season, teams in these divisions may accumulate referee points
which will figure into the team standings right along with wins, losses, and ties! Teams may earn a maximum of 2 ref points per week and a
total of 10 ref points per season. One point is earned for providing a center referee and 1/2 point is earned for providing an AR. Any combination of centers and ARs may be used to accumulate the 2 point maximum per week. In order to receive credit, referees must return a game
card with their legibly printed name and indicate which team and division for which they are volunteering.
No pets allowed
NO CLEATS on the JOE WALKER
As in previous years, Quartz Hill AYSO
will continue to observe the No Pets Allowed policy. Pets are not allowed at any
practices or games at any field anytime.
This rule is for the safety of our children,
families, and pets. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact
our Safety Director, Patty Meikle at 9434391.
TRACK!!!
Parents, Coaches, and Players:
Please do not run the Joe Walker track with cleats
on! This can cause severe, costly, damage to the track which QH AYSO will be
responsible for repairing.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Spirit Wear
is available at the Snack Bar!
**t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and visors**
TRASH, TRASH, TRASH!
Each week as the games come to an end, our fields and the surrounding areas are littered with TRASH! We need to show respect for ourselves and our community and not leave our trash
behind! Before you leave to go home and enjoy the rest of your
weekend, please make sure that our fields, the parking lot, and the roads where we
park are clean! If you are the last game of the day please make sure to pick up any
trash still remaining and also return any AYSO trash cans to the snack bar area or
pick up location for your field.
Together we can keep our fields and our community clean!
LOST AND FOUND
Items with our new logo will be available
beginning Oct 11th!
Looking for a lost ball, gym bag, or even a
set of keys or pair of glasses? Come by the
Snack Bar at JW/LP and take a peek at our
Lost and Found - your lost item might just
be in there! Any unclaimed items will be
donated to a worthy charity at the end of
the season!
Snack Bar Duty
The Snack Bar schedule has been completed and posted online. Each team is required to send responsible adults to work their shift. The Snack
Bar is not a place for children so if you have duty please do not bring your children if at all possible. If you must bring them with you, they will
need to wait under the easy-up tent located behind the Snack Bar. Any questions about the Snack Bar or Snack Bar duty should be directed to Lisa
Emard at 729-4949.
