Picchu begins with an early morning 90-minute
transfer from Cuzco into the scenic Sacred Valley of
the Incas to Ollanta train station. Here you will
board the Vistadome train for a 90-minute ride to
Aguas Calientes, the small town below Machu
Picchu. Continue by bus up the switchbacks to the
mountaintop citadel for a 2-hour guided tour. After
lunch, you will have time to explore the site before
returning to the hotel. The next morning, there is an

it doesn’t require a permit from the Peruvian government (there are a limited
number of permits). There are many ancient hiking trails outside Cuzco. One of
them is the Chaski Trail which follows the main communication trail used by the
Incan Empire to connect Cuzco to Ollantaytambo. Along the trail you will visit
archaeological sites and Andean communities, and will have amazing views of
the snow-capped peaks and the Sacred Valley. After the trek, you will visit the
fortress of Ollantaytambo and spend the night in the Sacred Valley. Continue
