EXTRA TRAINS TO BRING EVEN MORE PEOPLE
TOGETHER OVER THIS EASTER PERIOD.
The following travel tips will contribute to you having “A Pleasant
Experience”.
• Book and Buy your train ticket in advance to avoid disappointment. To book your train tickets
call 086 000 8888 OR visit your nearest Shosholoza Meyl ticket office / station OR Book online at
www.shosholozameyl or www.premierclasse.co.za. Buy a return ticket to avoid queuing for your
return journey and to guarantee your seat.
• Arrive Early at Station – Passengers are requested to arrive at least one hour prior to the
scheduled departure time of their train.
• Extra Security is provided for and the SAPS will be deployed on certain Shosholoza Meyl trains to
ensure the safety of passengers and luggage.
• Extra Luggage - Passengers with lots of extra luggage are requested to arrive at the station at
least one hour before the train departs. This enables Shosholoza Meyl to load all luggage in good
time and accordingly. Don’t forget to label your luggage/parcels clearly and tie them down
• Fares - Fares have been revised during Easter period. Always enquire about the fare when making
a reservation to ensure that you carry enough money.
• Access to platforms - access gates close 10 minutes prior to the departure of the train.
• Terms and Conditions - Passengers are reminded to acquaint themselves with the terms and con
ditions printed inside the ticket folder.
