polyethylene (stronger than noncore yarn), 41’6” long , with UV-resistant treatment and heatset knots to keep its shape. Mesh size of 123/32” assures that balls cannot go through the
net, even under Top 10 Men’s Play.
■ Headband lock-stitched with four rows of
white polyester thread. We use the heaviest
thread any double needle sewing machine can
sew, and our thread has the most abrasionresistance with the greatest tensile strength of
any headband thread used in the industry.
Lock stitching results in the thread being less
likely to unravel if cut. To provide a smooth
finish, bottom edges are turned under on all
nets except 720, 702, 703, 704.

COURTMASTER® Tennis Nets Offer Superior Aesthetics & Durability
What is Quality?
Reading through tennis net suppliers’ literature can be very confusing. It seems that very few net
specs really match up, and so it is impossible to compare apples to apples. People usually try to
compare the diameter or thickness of the yarn used (2.8mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, or 4mm). But even this
comparison is difficult at best and misleading at worst since there is no accepted industry standard for
measuring yarn diameter, and trying to actually measure each brand yields many different diameters.
Therefore, you simply cannot come up with an apples-to-apples comparison.
But there are other elements that are inherent in a quality net. For example, an important
consideration when talking about the diameter of net yarn is whether it is a solid core yarn or a noncore yarn. Solid core yarns are stronger and stretch less than non-core yarns, making them look and
wear better over time.

Durability is built into every aspect of Courtmaster® Tennis Nets…
• Ten of our net models have double-layered headbands of coated/laminated vinyl, with built in
anti-fungal treatment. The two layers of vinyl headband material are the heaviest in the industry.
• Our polyester thread is the heaviest thread any double needle sewing machine can sew. It
is the most abrasion-resistant thread with the greatest tensile strength of any headband
thread used in our industry.
• Our headbands are sewn via a lock-stitch method, which results in the thread being much
harder to unravel if cut.
• On all of our vinyl headbands, we fold under the bottom edge for a clean, non-fraying
finish.
• The net bodies on all our nets use 1-23/32” size mesh vs. the industry standard of 1-¾”
size mesh. Our smaller mesh size guarantees that balls cannot go through the net, even
under Top 10 men’s play.
• All of our top of the line net bodies are braided polypropylene solid-core yarn except for
the four hand-woven double top six products.
• Our braided knots are heat set to assure no knot slippage, and therefore the mesh holds its
shape in all circumstances.
• All of our eight top net models come with 5/8” fiberglass dowel side stakes.
• Sidebands utilize 3” wide 18 oz. non-glare black vinyl, which is folded under on both side
edges for a tidy, clean-cut look. No other net supplier folds its sidebands under. Most of
our competition use 14 oz. vinyl sidebands and are anywhere from 2 ¼” to 2 ½” wide.
Ours are 3”. We use two rows of black polyester thread (the same quality as used in our
headbands), lock-stitched on our sidebands.
• The net cable used in our eight top net models is 3/16” white vinyl-coated airplane cable
with 3,600-lb. tensile strength, double clamped on deadhead loop. We put a special
feature on the winder end of the cables called a flexi-loop. This flexi-loop feature makes
attaching the cable to the winder pin much easier as well as winding the cable. We are the
only company in industry that does this.
• The bottom bands on all regular size tennis nets are 1-¾” wide while our Tidyfit net
models use a 2-½” wide bottom band. These are all made of 18 oz. black non-glare vinyl
sewn using two rows of black polyester thread, the same thread and the same lockstitching
as used on our sidebands. We fold the bottom band under on all five of our top
tennis net models for that smooth, non-frayed look.

• Vinyl headbands and wider, non-glare sidebands are sewn folded under to provide a
symmetric look and prevent fraying
• Net bodies have smaller mesh size and tight heat-set knots to prevent slippage

HOW TO INSTALL A TENNIS NET
1.
Install the net posts and pipe anchor, making
sure the anchor is installed slush with the
surface and that the pin is parallel to the net
line to avoid twisting the center strap.
2.
Begin installing your net by connecting the
loop end of the net cable to the post cable
hook/cleat on the dead end post. If you are
installing your net onto an internal wind post,
you may have to cut the entire loop and any
excess cable from the other end of the net
cable--as well as remove the vinyl coating
near where the cable will be attached to the
winder--depending on which internal wind
post your are installing. Pull this end of the
cable over the top of the winder post, lining
up the cable with the winder mechanism.
Feed the cable into internal wind post
mechanism and begin winding until the net is
a little over 3' above the court surface at the
center.

If you are installing your net onto an external
wind post, connect one loop end of the net
cable to the post cable hook/cleat on the
dead end post. Take the other cable loop
and hook it onto the pin on the crank
assembly and begin winding. Continue to
crank the post so that the net is a little over 3'
above the surface at center.
4.
Fit dowels/side stakes if available into side
pockets.
5.
Install lacing cord at each end by making a 2"
knotted loop on one end of the lacing cord.
Run the other end through both grommets in
the head band and around the post, through
the 2" loop and back around the post in the
opposite direction. (See diagram) Continue
wrapping the cord around the post, through
the lacing bars, if available, and through the
grommets on the side band, applying equal
pressure as you wrap. Tie off the cord at the
bottom of the post. Repeat for other post.
Finally, install center strap and adjust it to
maintain a net height of 36" at center.

When you're finished the net should be fully
extended so that it completely fills the space
between the two net posts. The net height
at the center of the net should be 3' and at
the post end 3'6" above ground. If a
Doubles net is used for Singles play, the net
should be supported to a height of 3' by
using Singles Sticks, which are placed 3' on
center outside the Singles court on each
side.
7.
During the off season or when winterizing,
either remove the net or at least loosen the
net cable and center strap. It is best to
remove net posts, too, and plug sleeves with
sleeve covers to prevent moisture and dirt
from falling in.

"dynamically weighted" to provide a one time pass 7' wide. It is the fullest

sold complete with two 4' aluminum handles joined by a 20" PVC cross
piece. The handles are reversible for added broom life. It can be dragged
by hand or cart. The broom can be flipped over and used as a scraper. Two

This broom is designed to be pulled by a golf cart. The handle, with
a hole to mount to a hitch pin, is at a right angle to pull the broom

ServAce Alloy can grade, roll and brush up to
18 courts on one charge. Operation time per

This multi-functioning utility court groomer is constructed on a super-reliable and easily serviced ClubCar golf cart chassis and modified for the tennis world by electronic vehicle specialists Giliberti Inc. Each ServAce comes equipped with
an electronically actuated, PVC roller for whisper quiet rolling. In addition to the PVC roller, ServAce includes 3 brushes
(a 6-1/2’ wide rear grooming brush, a 4’ wide under-carriage leveling brush, and a cleaning brush for the roller). The utility dump has all-aluminum side and rear panels. The body is injection-molded polymer with molded-in color and a clear
coat. The grooming and leveling brushes will leave your court in perfect playing condition while saving you 10 to 20 minutes per court per day and the dump-bed allows for unmatched versatility.
ServAce is also the most convenient roller on the market today. With a simple flick of a switch, the roller unit can lowered to a multitude of pressure settings without the driver ever leaving the seat. And when your rolling is finished, simply
