ABOUT
Comité Mistral is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promote the brands of Provence and Côte d’Azur. Created in 2010, it
includes about 30 brands or members. To become a member of Comité Mistral, one must be an organization created and deeply
rooted in Provence or Côte d’Azur, with a profound history and tradition of savoir-faire, no matter its line of business.
Members of Comité Mistral are amongst the most prestigious brands in their respective field – they are highly regarded and the
demand for their products is high domestically and internationally via select distribution channels. The brands of Comité Mistral
are lifestyle brands that best embody South of France’s «art of living ».

and delicacies, landscaping and artisanry.

EVENTS
Comité Mistral organizes events annually at home and abroad to present and promote its members, setting up
joint actions to promote the latter’s products, while acting as Ambassadors for Provence and Côte d’Azur.
Comité Mistral’s event strategy includes one international location annually: Canada (Montreal) in 2010, Russia
(Moscow) in 2011, and China (Shanghai) in 2012. Executed with the support of partners from both public and
private sectors, each trip consisted of putting in place public relations events (press conferences, TV and
radio broadcasts) and commercial campaigns (mini shows) focusing on the theme of
‘Provence Lifestyle and the art of living on the French Riviera’.

Much to the delight of gourmands, the BEDOUIN family has been passionate about
the almond and its transformation for two centuries. The Biscuiterie de Provence’s
creations, made from natural ingredients and all having the almond as a common

found in specialty grocery stores in France and abroad.

CHATEAU LA CALISSE
Situated in the hinterland of the Var region, the Château la Calisse, with its 12 hectares
of vines belonging to the Côteaux Varois appellation, produces wines full of finesse
and elegance. These are exported to five continents and can be found on the menu of
many gourmet restaurants in the region. The secret of Patricia Ortelli’s wines rests
principally in the quality of the grapes, harvested in perfect condition at maturity,
enabling the quality of the ‘terroir’ to be fully appreciated.

CONFISERIE DU ROY RENE
A family company for three generations, the Confiserie du Roy René is continually
innovating whilst maintaining its established expertise and sense of tradition. Labelled
a ‘Living Heritage Company’, the Confiserie du Roy René will open the doors of its
workshop in Aix en Provence in October to reveal the secrets of the Calisson.

DOMAINES BUNAN
Since 1961 the Bunan family has been cultivating different pieces of land situated in
the Bandol area, at La Cadière d’Azur and at Le Castellet. The vines are grown on
terraces which favour the Mourvèdre, Bandol’s noble grape variety which has made
the region’s reputation. A deep respect and attachment to their vineyards has naturally
let the Bunan family in the direction of organic and biodynamic farming methods.

LA BASTIDE BLANCHE
Situated at Sainte Anne du Castellet, this family property extends over 30 hectares of
vines classified AOC Bandol. Laid out on terraces, most of the planted grape varieties
are Mourvèdre. La Bastide Blanche produces wines which are certified organic. Critics

In 1956 the Verrerie de Biot created bubble glass by succeeding in capturing the
bubble, imprisoning it between two layers of glass and thus transforming a defect into

VILLA BAULIEU
Nestled in the only volcanic crater in Provence, the Beaulieu vineyard is one of the biggest in
the Côteaux d’Aix en Provence appellation. The Villa Beaulieu, a 17C house which is now a

CHATEAU MINUTY
With its 75 hectares of vines overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Château Minuty has an
