Alpha Packaging manufactures and decorates bottles and jars for the nutritional,
pharmaceutical, personal care, household, automotive chemical, food and beverage
markets. We work with customers to create functional, attractive and cost-effective
packaging to meet their needs, and also offer more than 900 stock molds.
This catalog features the stock lines of bottles and jars manufactured in our Cleveland, Ohio
facility (approximately 190 items total). Alpha Cleveland specializes in two-stage (reheat
and blow, or RHB) blow molding of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, as well as
extrusion blow molding for high density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP) and
polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Alpha Cleveland also manufactures PET preforms used in the
two-stage blow molding process. Until it was acquired by Alpha in December 2010, Alpha
Cleveland was known as Progressive Plastics Inc., and is recognized for its expertise in
colored PET bottles and custom mold design and engineering.
In this catalog, we have categorized our stock products into six groups: Ovals, Rounds, Oblongs, Jars, Tottles and Sprayer Bottles. Many of the stock product families offer items made
from different resins, and we are always adding more new sizes and styles to round out our
lines. All dimensions in this catalog are listed in inches, and all bottle weights are listed in
grams. If you are looking for a particular bottle or jar in a size not shown in this
catalog, chances are good that we already make it at one of our other plants. Please visit

Alpha Cleveland offers a variety of rounds and cylinders frequently used by the personal care, condiment and sauce, household
chemical, automotive and beverage sectors. Most of the food and beverage rounds are two-stage (reheat and blow) PET bottles
using only FDA-approved resins; they are well-suited for filling temperatures 125 degrees Fahrenheit and below. Alpha also makes a
number of round bottles using HDPE, PVC and PP.

The PET Athens Round is ideal for dressings, hot sauces, oils and vinegar – or any other
pourable, squeezable or shakable food product. Two neck options, including one with a
“Deep Skirt” S dimension, give you flexibility in your choice of closures. Both options
currently exist as unit cavities, but could easily be expanded into full production tools.

Minimum Orders
Because of the types of manufacturing processes and machinery
operated at Alpha’s Cleveland location, products listed in this
catalog have different Minimum Order Quantities than products
made at other Alpha locations. While there are some exceptions,
MOQs typically follow this policy based on the process used to
manufacture each bottle.* (Please refer to the Process columns in
this catalog to determine how each item is manufactured.)
Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM): Minimum production run of
25,000 pieces.
Injection Blow Molding (IBM): Minimum production run of
50,000 pieces.
Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM): Minimum production
run of 50,000 pieces.
Reheat and Blow (RHB): Minimum production run of 50,000
pieces.
A small number of our PET stock styles may require larger
minimum orders, including (but not limited to): All two-stage
(RHB) PET bottles in a custom color; bottles made from recycled
resins; and bottles made with other special additives.
Stock items are defined as bottles and jars made from molds
that are available to any customer (not custom); Alpha cannot
guarantee that all stock items will be in-stock and available at
the time of your order, but stock items ordered in our standard
colors can be ordered according to our Minimum Orders
policy above.
Alpha Packaging requires a written purchase order for all

FOB
Most items in this Alpha Cleveland catalog are manufactured by
Alpha Packaging FOB Cleveland, Ohio. Most decorated bottles
ship FOB Winona, MN. Alpha reserves the right to relocate stock
molds to other Alpha plants, including plants in St. Louis, MO;
Jacksonville, FL; Bethlehem, PA; Salt Lake City, UT; or Ypsilanti,
MI. Please check with Customer Service to make sure which
plant is producing your items.
Additional Charges
Alpha Packaging publishes a price list, but certain products or
colors may fall below our minimum manufacturing requirement or
require additional charges. The standard charges, as shown below,

may be in addition to those prices listed on the Alpha
Price List. Custom colors are priced as established on the price
quote. Please consult your Customer Service Representative
for actual charges for your order.
Set Up Charge: A sampling charge will be charged to prepare
and run up to 100 samples from a unit cavity, prototype or
private mold; $500 for RHB, $2,000 ISBM and $1,000 for all
other equipment.
HDPE, PVC and PP: White and Black priced same as clear; add
10% for all other standard colors. Exceptions are listed on the
price list.
PET: Alpha Cleveland’s standard PET colors are clear, black, light
amber, dark amber, dark green, cobalt blue and white. Add 5% to
clear price for all standard colors, add 10% for white. Exceptions
are listed on the price list.
Additives: There may be additional charges for other colors
or additives (i.e. UV inhibitor) or other special resins, including
recycled resins.
Purge Charges: If the minimum for colors is not met, Alpha
reserves the right to charge a purge charge.
Product Warranty
Alpha warrants its products will conform to all Alpha product
specifications. No warranty or representation other than
is set forth in this standard warranty are applicable. Any
recommendations or suggestions regarding end uses and
methods of use are offered only as recommendations based
upon industry experience, and do not constitute a guarantee
of performance with any product or package. Each user must
test its product’s compatibility and performance with Alpha’s
packaging products, and the user has the sole responsibility
for evaluating and testing its products in Alpha’s products.
No additional warranty or performance assurances are implied.
The burden of whether or not a product is compatible with
our bottles ultimately rests with the customer. Alpha will
assume no financial responsibility for a lack of compatibility.
We would be happy to assist in the testing of our bottles with
any potential product.
Sample Requests
Please call, fax or e-mail your Customer Service Representative,
or use our convenient on-line form to request samples. Alpha will
usually ship your request within two working days by UPS Ground
or US Mail. If overnight delivery is required, please provide
your Federal Express or UPS account number for billing. For
International requests, an account number or credit card number
must be included for shipping charges. Samples are limited to
24 items per order.
