Accommodation
Eleven two-storied buildings that accommodate the 155
rooms constitute the complex, with view to the forest or
garden. 147 of them are double rooms that have the
possibility of entertaining third and fourth individual
(bunk beds), and 8 are apartments with two separate
rooms in each one. All rooms offer shower, A/C, TVSatellite, refrigerator and hair dryer.

main lobby you’ll find internet access with charge and safe
deposit boxes. Philoxenia is ideal for families since it provides
its young guests a playground surrounded by forest, a

older guests, there is an entertainment room which is

In our restaurant, which is found in the central
building of the complex, with view to the garden and
pool, one can try Greek as well as international
cuisine. Two meals are served daily, morning and
supper in form of a buffet. Philoxenia Bungalows is
famous for its rich meals that combine the creativity
of the Mediterranean diet with the taste of local
products. Honey and olives from Sithonia, herbs and
spices from hotel’s gardens, local wine and cheese are
some of the ingredients that the Chef is using.
The pool snack bar is open from morning until night,
offering large variety of coffees and drinks, as well as
small meals, which are served at the tables that are
found in the area around the swimming pool as well
as in the central building. In the evening, the
atmosphere of the pool combined with tasty cocktails
gives the customers the ultimate in relaxation. In
Philoxenia, there are regularly organized Music
Nights, during high season, at the pool area. The
program includes live Greek or Foreign music from
musicians, who encourage the participation of the
visitors to dance. The bar and swimming pool area
are ideal for organizing events, such as weddings and
parties, which give a particular color to the visitors’
nights.
ACTIVITIES - EXCURSIONS
Because of its locality, Philoxenia is advisable for walks. About 20
kilometers away from the hotel, are three peripatetic ways for those
who enjoy walking. For the fans of diving, there is a Diving Center just
200m from the hotel. Jeep Safari, golf, fishing, biking, beach volley and
many other activities that are organized nearby revitalize or relax the
guests. At 30km from the hotel, specifically at Porto Carras, there is an
18 holes golf court, which can facilitate both amateur and professional
games.
Just north from Psakoudia in Ormylia (in 7km), many come to visit the
Convent of the Annunciation. This convent houses over 100 nuns from
around the world that dedicate their time to medical research. Many
other monasteries are located near Psakoudia. The Church in Ormylia
and the one in Vatopedi are also great to visit.
Perhaps, the most fascinating experience for the visitor of Halkidiki is
the tour of Saint Terms (Mount Athos) that is done by cruise ships.
The Petralona Cave (Speleon), where the first man was discovered
(Homo sapiens) is found in distance, 40 kilometers from the hotel. The
tour
there
constitutes
an
unusual
adventure.
The conducted tour in the settlement of Ancient Olinthos, which is
found in distance of 15 kilometers from the hotel, gives the visitor a
flavor from the ancient Greek culture.
