Casting Crown’s newest song, “Broken
Together,” focuses on the fact that only
through brokenness can we be complete in
Christ. “We got it into our heads that to be
a good witness for Jesus is to act like we
don’t have any problems,” said Mark Hall,
lead singer of Casting Crowns. “For some
reason, we can’t talk about the fact that we’re
struggling, that it’s not going so well.”
This song encourages us to be honest about
our brokenness and honest that only God
can change us. It helps us remember that
what makes something holy and complete is
not the outside, but what Jesus does on the
inside. We are all broken people, but God has
made us alive through Christ. “The only way
we’ll last forever is broken together!”

“Love your station. God has used so
many songs to encourage me daily. It
seems on the toughest days I get into
my car and there’s always something
that lifts my spirits. Thank you!” ~ Christy

DEAR FRIENDS,
Remember the phrase that says “Preach the Gospel at all times, and use
words if necessary?”
I love the heart behind it. People in our culture are often moved more by
what you do than what you say. K-LOVE’s Share The Love is all about
getting out and doing, putting our faith into action. The vision is to be the
hands and feet of Jesus in our community — to come together in a
meaningful way to show the love of Christ by what we do.
Soon, you’ll hear more about Share the Love and learn how you can get
involved. We hope you will! Together we will continue to share Jesus with
everyone around us. And OK, we might use a few words as well.
God’s speed and God’s best to you!
Blessings,
David Pierce

A downpour of rain did not stop the Eighth
Annual Christmas Fest event in Nassau County,
New York, an event that reaches one of the least
churched counties in the United States. Beacon
Hill Church is one of the few biblically based
churches in that area.
An early supporter of K-LOVE in the region,
Beacon Hill promoted 96.7 FM in their weekly
church bulletins for almost a year when the
local station first came on the air. This began a
partnership between K-LOVE and the church to
reach out to their local community.
The goal of Christmas Fest is to provide a
safe environment and bring hope to the local
neighborhood. The event included a musical
performance, ornament making, raffles, games
and plenty of food. Despite the rain, 600 people
still attended, 50% of which were not from the
local church, and had never heard of K-LOVE.
What an amazing outreach opportunity!

A M A Z I N G things happened on this
year ’s K-LOVE cruise. The 12th Annual event
brought together K-LOVE listeners, staff,
and several top Christian recording artists
for a transformative five days at sea.
EXTRAORDINARY MOMENTS AT SEA
K-LOVE listeners not only were able to hear their
favorite music by the likes of Casting Crowns,
Newsboys and Chris August, but they also connected
with the artists on board, met other listeners from
around the world, and hung out with the staff and
personalities that make K-LOVE a reality. What makes
the K-LOVE cruise extraordinary is the opportunity for
all of us to come together as a community, to
encourage one another, and to see lives changed
by the grace of God right before our eyes.
For two women in particular, this year’s cruise
was truly life altering ...

It’s that time of year when everyone is talking about love,
but relationships aren’t easy! They require us to have an
attitude of awe, respect, and faith not only in one another,
but in God as well. How can we draw closer to the one’s we
love? Here are 3 tips from myKLOVE’s Christian authors:

1
SHARE YOUR HEART
“Our personalities may be an asset or
a liability to communication, but they
never render us bankrupt. Either I
choose to share my heart, or I choose
to keep the door closed. I cannot blame
my personality, my mate’s response,
or anything else.” ~ Gary Chapman
2
WATCH YOUR FOCUS
“You go where you focus. In life, if you
focus on your problems, you will be filled
with anxiety. But if you focus on what
brings true happiness, you will be able to
enjoy this amazing journey.”
~ Arlene Pellicane
3
TRUST GOD TO MEET YOUR NEEDS
“It can be scary to commit to meeting
your spouse’s needs regardless of
whether you expect to get your own
needs met. But a powerful paradox
can be hiding in that exchange. In fact,
trusting God instead of another to meet
your needs might be the most enduring
security-producing choice you ever
make.” ~ Shaunti Feldhahn
Remember as a kid when your friend would say,
“I dare you”
then your other friend would follow with, “I double dare you?” We all
know that taking a challenge could yield a great reward. As a kid, that
could have been the bragging rights for the rest of the school day.
At the start of 2015, K-LOVE challenged us to listen to nothing but Christian
music for 30 days. Some have seen and many have heard the positive
impact of this challenge. But what happens when you’re presented with
taking this challenge to another level? On myKLOVE, we said, “I double
dare you.” While listening to Christian music for 30 days, we challenged
our community to do a little extra each week, such as invite somebody
you know to listen along. A high school student took this extra challenge
and listened to Christian music with his youth pastor. We encouraged
members to share songs with friends and family, which prompted a mom
to send lyrics to her daughter who had drifted away form the Lord.
The greater the challenge, the greater the reward! How fun to see all the
Kingdom rewards through K-LOVE radio and the myKLOVE community!
Download myKLOVE and experience the reward!

SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS!
Have you ever been so excited about something that
you wanted to shout it from the rooftops? Well, that’s
exactly what Jack Stout of Muskogee, Oklahoma did.
Only he went one step further and put up a digital
billboard featuring K-LOVE and the local station so
that those on the road could “Drive Encouraged.”
Jack has been listening to K-LOVE for ten years and
is so enthusiastic about who we are and what we do
that he decided to go to extreme lengths to tell his
community about us! “When I came across K-LOVE,
I immediately knew this was the music I had been
searching for,” Jack said. “I knew I had to put
an ad on the billboard to tell Muskogee about
K-LOVE.” This is just one more example of God
using K-LOVE to speak into the hearts of its
listeners. Through that single act, we hope and
pray that even more lives will be reached!
If you or someone you know has gone to great
lengths to spread the word about K-LOVE to
others, we would love to hear about it! Share
your story and pictures at [email protected].

LAUGHING, SINGING, BLESSED
K- LOVE HELPED HER MAKE IT THROUGH
I love the new “30 Day Challenge,” but I also find it
a bit amusing; to me, this isn’t a challenge at all. I
have listened to K-LOVE every day since November
2014. I just recently moved to Jacksonville after a few
downfalls that pushed me so far down, I didn’t see an
end to my worries. I kept my radio off for a long time,
but in November, I turned it on, and you guys were
playing. I cry with people who call in, I laugh, I sing
to all the songs, and most of all, I praise my Savior.
Every day He blesses me, and K-LOVE reminds me
of that every time I get in my car (every day). I can’t
thank y’all enough.
~ Samantha
At a recent event in Indianapolis, a lady came in and
asked for K-LOVE. She shared with Lindsay Crane, Lead
Promotions Representative, how she took the 30 Day
Challenge and hasn’t switched her radio station since.
Lindsay chatted with her and quickly learned that she
wasn’t there for the event — she just heard that K-LOVE
would be at the church that day, and wanted to stop
by just to tell us “good job!” The woman told how that
very morning she visited her deceased mother in the
cemetery and that K-LOVE helped her make it through.
Needless to say, after sharing her experience with the
station, both she and Lindsay had tears in their eyes!
