in the home construction industry regarding
energy efficiency since the 1970’s. Why are
most builders not building more energy efficient
homes? Often it’s because builders and home
buyers are focusing more on “cosmetic” upgrades
which visibly enhance a home than on behindthe-scenes upgrades which may contribute more
to a home’s long-term value.
