Grade one and two have collaborated to create a mixed media (paint
and wax crayon) fall tree. The piece
is inspired by the art of Kandinsky
in response to the question "How
can trees praise God?" The background paper was painted by the
children. The multi-coloured leaves
are individually created by each student with wax crayons, showing
their own individuality as well as
how they come together to make a
beautiful community. The work was
completed through a process of
drafts and self-critiques. We hope
and pray our tree can praise God
through it's beauty and our working
together.
