of Electricity Bills through RTGS/NEFT.
Traditionally, our consumers use to pay the bills using
customary modes of
payment like physical instruments like cheque,
demand draft or cash. In order to
enhance the modes of payment, PSPCL is pleased
to allow payment of electricity
bills through RTGSA'IEFT. Revenue wing of Head
office is in the process of
developing and finalising an automated structure
of RTGS collection, posting and
accounting, which may take some time. However,
for the time being, in view of the
demand of various consumers, a manual system
of RTGS/NEFT collection is
approved, the procedure of which is prescribed
as under (til further
instructions in this regard):
consumers who want to pay their electricity bills
through RTGSA{EIjT
w-ill approach their respective sub-division (from
where the electricity bills are
issued), along-with a request letter for payment
of electricity bills through
RTGSA{EFT' After due verification of the particulars
of the consumer, the Subciivision will allow the consumer to pay the bill(s)
through RTGSAIEFT and Revenue
Accountant would provide requisite bank details
to the consumer to facilitate bill
payment through RTGSA{EFT. Following
details of collection bank account of the
sub-division will be provided to the consumer:

After paying bill through RTGSNEFT, the consumer will intimate the
respective Sub-divisional office with UTR details/Bank acknowledgement and
consumer account number wise detail (if more than one bill is paid through single
RTGSAIEFT) to have the official bill receipt of PSPCL issued immediately.

In lhe sub-division,
before issuing actual
bill receipt to the consumer,
will confirm credit of RTGSA{EFT in
Sub-division's collection Bank Account as per bill amount. For this purpose, RAs
concerned Head Cashier/Revenue Accountant

must get view rights of their collection Bank Accounts issued from this office. The
entry on receipt side of the Cash Book (with full remarks/narration) will also be made
after verification of Bank account and after recording the entry in CCR book, as
usual, On the payment side, entry will be recorded on the same day itself (again with
full remarks/narration). Separate column for such entries be inserted in remittance
register for their proper checking/audit. While preparing Collection BRS and BA-2 at
month end, proper remarks should be given for such entries.
This issues with the approval of the CMD, PSPCL.
