Industrial Designer, graduate from the School of Arts and Architecture of Marseille in 1991.
He was a project manager at the Wilmotte Agency from 1989 to 1994. Then he created
the «MA Studio» in 1996 to accompany the evolution taking place in public spaces and to
participate in the elaboration of urban landscapes respecting both customs and locations.
He created the Flexi & Té ranges for Valmont.
He has also worked with Aubrilam, Eclatec, Rohl, Comatelec, Metalco...

Hicham Lahlou, bor n in 1973, Rabat, Morocco.
Interior Architect & Designer of French-Morrocan nationality, graduate from the Acadmy
Charpentier in 1995.
Ver y early on, he developed the « Koubba » teapot with a design that became a symbol all
over the world. He also designed all of the urban equipment for the town of Agadir creating
its visual identity; a first for Morocco, Africa and in the Arab World. In 2009, he also created
urban equipment for the town of Rabat with the bus shelters on the «Authentic» line.
He was the first in Morocco to design for and be produced by well-known national and
inter national brands like LIP watches, Aquamass, Odiot, D’Argentat, Airdiem, Valmont,
Philips, La Forge de Laguiole, Ar tisanat du Maroc...

It was necessar y to approach purity,
sobriety, the ethereal, the «No Design». No
frivolity, above all no sycophancy because
that is not done in Agadir. It was necessar y to
have a design for the occasion, contemporar y,
sophisticated but ef ficient and above all longlasting; which is more than nor mal for lamp
posts, manhole covers, sign posts etc...
Several propositions were presented. The final
choice fell on the collection called «Pure»...
There is no hazardous.

Industrial Designer, graduate from University of Art and Design Helsinki in 2000.
Reija Pasanen is an industrial designer not only specialized in products design and architectural
constructions but also the creation of lighting solutions.
Consultant at WSP Finland before becoming lighting designer at Valoa Design Ltd, she joined
the Valmont group in 2008 and has created numerous scenes for many towns in Nor ther n
Europe.

s a n s i n t e r r u p t i o n a u x p l u s b e aux jours de
l ’ é t é . L’ é c l a i r a g e d y n a m i q u e représente le
c h a n g e m e n t d e l u m i è r e , l e s a u r ores boréales
et ses vagues de couleurs.
L e m o b i l i e r, q u a n t à l u i , e s t inspiré des
R a k o v a l k e a , c e s t r o n c s d ’ a r b r es utilisés en
f e u d e c a m p p o u r, à l a f o i s s e réchauf fer et
é c l a i r e r l e s l o n g u e s n u i t s h i v e r n ales. Ce projet
f û t r é c o m p e n s é p a r u n G E E d i s on Award .
Rovaniemi is located in the Ar tic circle. The
sun is completely absent in mid-winter but
shines without interruption in the nicest days
of summer. The dynamic lighting represents
the change of lighting, the aurora borealis
and its waves of color. .
Urban fur nishing is inspired by Rakovalkea,
these tree trunks used as camping fires for
both heating and lighting over long winter
nights. This project received the GE Edison
Award.

a u l o n g d e l ’ a n n é e , " l ' A i g u i l le Lumineuse"
s ’ a n i m e r a d e c o u l e u r s e t r y t h m es exclusifs,
r e f l e t s d e s é v é n e m e n t s e t d e l a vie de la ville.
" l ' A i g u i l l e L u m i n e u s e " r e f l è t e à elle seule ce
q u e s i g n i f i e p o u r E i n d h o v e n , ê t r e une capitale
de la lumière.
Eindhoven has a new landmark,the " Light
Needle"...
Towering 50m above a 6 crossings on the
inner ring road, the " Light Needle" reminds to
the city its identity.
Shifting slowly in color the 300 led-modules
ignite the night. On special occasions the
" Light Needle" will run an appropriate light
program and as such will act as a mirror for
city happenings.
The " Light Needle" reflects all that "the city of
light" Eindhoven stands for.
