Rules for Bidding
1. Minimum starting bid is $2,000.00.
2. Horses will be available for inspection by appointment only Tuesday through Friday from
December 21st, 2015 through 10:00am January 4th, 2016. Bid sheets are
available from the office.
3. A bid sheet must be completed for each horse for which a bid is being submitted. The bid
must identify the mare by name and be submitted in writing in a sealed envelope.
4. The bids will be opened in the CEH office at 11:00am on January 4th, 2016.
5. Successful bidders will have until 11:00am on January 5th, 2016 to pay for their
animal(s). Bidders have 48 hours from the end of the auction to pick up their horse(s). If
horses are not picked up by 11:00am on January 6st, 2016 board will be charged at a rate
of $40 per day per horse.
6. If the successful bidder fails to pay for their animals before 11:00am on January 5th,
2016, the bid will be declared NO SALE, and the next highest bidder will be notified.
7. If a bidder bids on more than one horse, he/she must purchase ALL horses for which
he/she has the highest bid.
8. In case of tie bids, a drawing will be conducted to determine the successful bidder.
9. The animal becomes the purchaser’s responsibility at the time of notification; UCD CEH
will not be responsible for any injuries which occur once monies have been exchanged.
