PRESS RELEASE Dynacord Cobra system impresses at Miami MLK day event Leading Florida production company Drummer Boy Sound deployed their trusty Dynacord Cobra rig for the City of Miami Gardens’ third annual Martin Luther King Celebration on January 21st. Straubing, in March 2008 The show featured performers from the south Florida area, along with national syndicated radio host Tom Joyner, and national R&B recording artist Mario. Platinumselling national recording artist DJ Khaled and international artists Black Violin—known for their innovative hip hop renditions on violin—also made guest appearances. “This was the biggest turn out to date for this event,” says Harold Cummings of DBS. “Previous attendance was around 2 to 3000; this year an unexpected 10 to 11,000 people came out. The organizers knew we would draw more than before, but no one expected that many. Our Cobra system stepped up to the challenge, and once again showed us why it’s king of the line arrays! South Florida's #1 radio station WEDR 99 JAMZ sponsored Mario’s performance; Mario had an easy, problem-free sound check and told me ‘this system is louder than it looks!’” “During a post production meeting with the radio station, I was told that Mario's management was very impressed with the sound quality and professionalism DBS provided. The Cobra is at the core of our continued success, as it gives us the flexibility to address shows from a few hundred to 10,000 people, but it always fits into the back of a small truck, and it can always be easily set up by a couple of people! I’m very pleased to report that this event, and the excellent performance of the Cobra, has given us the green light for all WEDR 99 JAMZ’s future outdoor productions.” Equipment list (selected): Dynacord Cobra system Dynacord L2400 amps and processing Midas Verona 480/48ch Midas Siena 480/48ch Klark Teknik DN370/Square One Guy Low, 8th March 2007 Caption (.jpg): R&B star Mario onstage The attached photo(s) may only be published in conjunction with this press release.
