Trendelenburg positioning often
presents a high risk of patient
shifting and sliding. Most
professionals use a complex
assortment of straps, foam, gel, tape,
belts, and beanbags to secure their
patient during procedures done in this
position. A makeshift approach like this
is often unsafe, unreliable, and does not
prevent the patient from slipping or
sliding during the procedure.
The difficulty occurs when straps are
mounted in a compromised position
because they are not specifically
engineered to anchor at the precise point

Solution
The all-in-one Trendelenburg Stabilizer
is a self-contained solution that provides
ultimate stability for surgeons and
exceptional safety for patients. The Stabilizer
uses a draw sheet as a nonslip foundation,
securely anchored to the table base and rails
with integrated straps to prevent any drawsheet sliding. The kit also uses strategically
angled straps at the chest and shoulders that
work together to securely hold patients and
prevent them from slipping and sliding.
Additional straps wrap and hold patients’
arms in a neutral anatomical position, while
convoluted foam padding distributes
pressure evenly and protects skin from injury.
The unique combination of the draw
sheet, integrated straps, and foam takes the
frustration and danger out of Trendelenburg
positioning.
Tested safe for use with patients up to
400 pounds and with straps long enough to
secure around toboggan arm guards, the
complete AliMed Trendelenburg Stabilizer

Most rubber laminate O.R. straps
are stitched together, presenting
punctures, perforations, and thread
fibers that create a breeding ground
for bacteria. Although it is easy to

Universal Table Straps are
extraordinarily strong and can
accommodate just about any patient. The
entire strap length is soft loop, so the hook can
securely close on any area on either side. Shorten the
strap to accommodate the smaller patient by cinching up
the side rail ends of the One- or Two-Piece Side Rail Straps or
by overlapping the One-Piece Circumferential Strap (see below).
Loosen the cinch or overlap for the larger patient. To permanently shorten
one-piece strap, simply scissor-trim the blue loop to the appropriate length.

Radiolucent
Great for radiology studies as Protecta-Coat
withstands all the worst-case scenarios during
X-rays: barium-induced diarrhea, Betadine, IV
contrast, etc. These multipurpose positioners
are even radiolucent on surfaces at 60 kVp or
above.
Caution: Procedures at less than 60 kVp may produce
slightly visible lines on edges of positioners. Always
position the patient so that the edge of the block will not
be in the image field of concern. When tested at low
attenuation of 80 kVp, results indicate an aluminum
equivalency of 1%.
