Impressive: The Heart of the AnimagiC-Convention-Center is the Big Hall. Originally created for Concerts of
Philharmonic Orchestras, during AnimagiC all the Showacts, Cosplay-Contests, J-Rock-Concerts and the
Anime-Special-Screenings are taking place here – there are seats for 2.000 People inside the Big Hall
Fully packed with 2.000 enthusiastic Fans: The MainEvents like the AnimagiC-Opening, the Showgroups
and the Cosplay-Contests in the Big Hall won´t be
missed by the AnimagiC-Visitors.
Big Convention-Hall
Heart of the AnimagiC-Convention is the Big
Hall, which is located right in the middle of the
Beethovenhall. Originally, this Hall was built
up for presenting Concerts of Philharmonic
Orchestras, which is still happening. But during the AnimagiC-Convention, there are a lot
of Main-Events, taking place in this Hall.
place, like the big Opening Ceremony on the
Evening of AnimagiC-Friday. During this Opening, also the Guests of Honor will be introduced
officially to the Fans. Furhter Main-Events in
the Big Hall are the Cosplay-Contests, the
Show-Programme which is done by the FanShowgroups and the J-Music-Concerts.
The Big Hall: Capacity & Technic
The Big Hall offers 2.000 Seats for the Fans. As
for special J-Rock-Concerts, it´s also possible
to do it without Chairs, to increase the Numbers of Attendees up to 3.500 Fans. As the Big
Hall was originally built to do Concerts with
Philharmonic Orchestras, there is a complete
Soundsystem Installed. There is also a Big
Screen. Extended Technics (like special SpotLight-Systems) are hired by the AnimagiC-Organization especially for this Event.
The Big Hall: J-Music-Concerts
In the past 13 Years of AnimagiC, many JMusic-Artists attended the Convention. For
example Yoko Kanno: She performed the best
Soundtracks like from Cowboy Bebop as well
as some other Songs on a Piano on the MainStage. The same did Yuki Kajiura some Years
later. But we had also J-Rock-Bands like the
Gazette (2006) and Plastic Tree (2007) playing
their Concerts at AnimagiC – as well as Mega-Star Miyavi (also 2007), who played some
Songs unplugged at the Main-Stage. The Fans
also love Singers like Nana Kitade (2008), AURAL VAMPIRE (2009) or SHANADOO (2011).
The Big Hall: Main-Events
In the Big Hall all the Main-Events are taking
The Guests of Honor on the Main-Stage: Every year, the AnimagiC-Opening-Ceremony takes place the Big
Hall. One of the Shows Highlights for the Fans is the Introduction of the Guests of Honor, like here in 2011
with Nozomu Tamaki (in Front; Manga-ka Dance in the Vampire Bund), Takashi Okazaki (Manga-ka AFRO
SAMURAI), Shunsuke Saito (Producer Black Butler), Tomonori Ochikoshi (Producer Blue Exorcist),
Koji Masunari (Director Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW) and SHANADOO (Picture on the right)
AnimagiC 2012
J-Pop-Concerts in the Big Hall: Every year, AnimagiC
presents a japanese TOP MUSIC ACT – in 2011 the famous J-Pop-Trio SHANADOO performed two fantastic
Concerts for the enthusiastic Fans
COSPLAY-Contests: About 70% of all AnimagiC-Visitors are attending the Convention in their CosplayOutfit. Many of the Fans are preparing the Costumes
with all of their passion during the months right
before the Convention. So it´s no wonder, that the
Cosplay-Contests itself are one of the main Attractions of the AnimagiC-Programme – and taking place
in the fully crowded Big Hall.

Black Butler-Promotion: In 2009 Carlsen Manga had a Special AnimagiC-Booth, which was designed in

Exhibitors and more ...
During the last 14 years, AnimaniA-Magazine
built up a close and trustful Relationship to
all Domestic Anime-, Manga and Game-Publishers. Of course, these Business-Partners
are not cooperating with AnimaniA-Magazine
during the whole year, but also using AnimagiC as Platform to promote their Companies
and Products with Booths, Special-Events
and Exhibitions (like Shueisha did in 2008) ...
Attending Manga- and Anime-Companies
The German Manga-Publishers Carlsen Manga, TOKYOPOP and EMA (Egmont Ehapa) attending every years AnimagiC-Convention with

many Game-Companies are attending the

Nintendo 3DS and the newest PokemonGames. Furthermore SQUARE ENIX attends
the AnimagiC as well as NAMCO BANDAI,

placing their Game-Stations all around the
AnimagiC-Floors, so that the Fans have the
chance to play the Games, when they like to.
ANIMAX-TV-Lounge: During all AnimagiC-Days, the
TV-Station ANIMAX represents their topic Line-up in

Hilton Hotel
Special-Room „Studio“: The „Studio“ offers 400 Seats for the Fans and is used mainly for the Q&A-Panels
as well as the Signing Sessions with the Guests of Honor. Furthermore the „Studio“ is a beloved place for
Special Anime-Screenings on the Big Screen in HD-Quality and a excellent Sound-System
Q&A-Panels & Signing
One of the Highlights the AnimagiC-Fans looking forward to every year are the Q&A-Panels
and the Signing-Sessions with the Guests of
Honor. As Location for these Events, AnimagiC
accordingly offers the Room „Studio“.
Studio: Capacity & Technic
The „Studio“ offers 400 Seats for the Fans.
There is a Big Screen and a excellent SoundSystem installed. For each Guest of Honor (as
well as for the Host and each Interpreter) there
are Microphones installed in this Room, too.
Q&A-Panel
Each Guest of Honor is asked to have one
Q&A-Panel each on Conventions Saturday and
Sunday. Host of these Q&A-Panels is a AnimagiC-Staff-Member, introducing the Guests
and getting the Questions from the Audience.
Signing-Sessions
On the AnimagiC-Friday, there is a big „Opening Signing Session“, where all the Guests of
Honor will sign the Official AnimagiC-Poster
for the Fans. Each Guest of Honor will have
one Signing-Session each on Conventions
Saturday and Sunday, too. Sometimes the
Guests want to combine this with the Q&APanel. For example: They are doing 45 Minutes
Q&A-Panel, then 15 Minutes Break, then 45
Minutes Signing-Session, which is absolutely
acceptable for us. These points will be cleared
in Cooperation with the German Publisher/the
Management of the Guest of Honor in Advance
of the AnimagiC-Convention, of course.
Special-Note: Interpreters
The AnimagiC-Team includes several highly
Japanese-skilled Interpreters. Some of them
are native Japanese – but all of them are really into Anime and Manga and of course wellbriefed with the Bios and Titles of the Guest of
Honor, they have to attend. The Interpreters
will attend the Guests of Honor not only during
the Q&A-Panels and the Signing-Sessions, but
also during their whole Freetime.
During the AnimagiC-Convention all Guests
of Honor, the AnimaniA-/AnimagiC-Main-Staff
(including the whole Interpreter-Crew) and
the AnimagiC-Business-Partners are living in
the Hilton Hotel Bonn.
Hilton Hotel: Location & Booking
The Hilton Hotel is located in the Center of the
City Bonn and only a five-minute-Walk away
from the Beethoven Hall. The Booking of the

Transportation during AnimagiC
The AnimagiC-Organizer takes care of all the
needed Transportation of the Guests of Honor.
For Example: There will be a AnimagiC-Bus,
picking the Guests up from the Airport after
their arrival and transport them back to the Airport at the Day of Departure, too.
