support REACH UP: The Campaign for Bear Creek to
finish construction of the new Upper School and Fine
& Performing Arts Center. Donations to the Fund-ANeed will be dedicated to creating Innovation Labs
for each division, as a key part of fulfilling the first
plank of the strategic plan, Dare to Dream 2020,
Imagine the Greater Conversation. These creative
spaces will stand at the intersection of a Christian

Ms. Beesley's Class
“Footprints on Our Hearts”
The students of Ms. Beesley's grade six class hope to
bring inspiration and beauty to your home! “You shall
love the Lord your God with all your heart and all
your soul..." (Luke 10:27) The class has embellished
a rugged wooden wall cross with silver medallions
reflecting each student's individual heart and "sole".
Students shaped hearts from clay, and then added
their own footprint to create texture and variety. The
clay medallions were then glazed with silver paint
and antiqued to complete this one-of-a-kind work of
art. Measures approximately 30"x 18".

“Why?” “What If?” “How Can I?” These questions,
asked throughout history, repeatedly opened the
doors to innovative discoveries and creative quests
that have enriched and advanced our culture and
our society.
Tonight’s Fund A Need will support the creation of
Innovation Labs for each division - physical spaces
where our students can ask these types of questions,
and find the tools and equipment they need to
create, to explore, to innovate, to collaborate, and
to pursue their passions.
The Innovation Labs will offer cutting-edge
independent learning environments that bring
together the STEM disciplines – Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math, with the arts and humanities.
Materials will range from large foam building blocks,
puppetry materials, Legos, and simple tablet
programming opportunities for young students,
through 3D printers, music and video composition
tools, electronic and robotic components, and a
variety of age-appropriate computers and software.

help us equip the Innovation Labs. With your help, we
can provide the creative spaces where students are
inspired to use their imagination and ingenuity to
grow in wisdom, compassion, and courage.
