The Kandeler Christmas Market
will, once again, attract many
visitors from near and far. It will
take place on the four weekends of
Advent on the “Plätzel”, around
St. Georges Church and the
adjoining market square.
Guests will be able to enjoy a varied
supporting program, a children’s
roundabout, a children‘s train and
a children‘s bakery.

Christmas Bazaar in the middle
of the village forest of Dudenhofen
The village of Dudenhofen and the Forestry Department of the Palatine Rheinauen
traditionally invite you on the third Sunday of Advent, 13th December 2015 from
10:00 hrs -16:00 hrs to their Christmas Bazaar in the middle of the village forest.
More than 75 associations,
institutions, businesses
and individuals offer many
predominantly homemade
products made from wood
and other natural products.
Bread baking (on a stick),
pony rides, Christmas
tree saley, a „live“ Santa
Claus, the backpack
School of Forestry and
Christmass brass music
round off the program.
And, of course, the culinary
aspects of Christmas are
not neglected. Local clubs
provide the necessary
refreshments and snacks.
The bazaar will be well
signposted particularly
starting from the village
fairground in Dudenhofen.

St. Nicolas market in Bellheim –
Christmas Magic in the Park
From 04.12. - 06.12.2015 the community of Bellheim and its Commercial Association
invite you to a St. Nicolas market in the Bellheimer Spiegelbachpark.
Illuminated Christmas trees and decorative lighting objects allow the park to shine in
a festive glow. Around 50 stalls offer Christmas goodies such as Christmas decorations,
wooden toys, gift items and much more, as well as a wide selection of food and drinks.
Christmas music accompanies the visitors as they stroll through the lovingly-decorated
park. Whilst the adults warm up with a cup of hot mulled wine or in front of the
„Grumbeerfeuer“, the children can look forward to the next Christmas story in the
fairy-tale tent. Also for the adults, there is an extensive supporting program with musical highlights and more. The organizers and exhibitors look forward to your visit.

Knuspermarkt Jockgrim
from 5th – 6th December 2015
On the second weekend of Advent, the widely popular Jockgrimer Knuspermarkt
attracts its visitors with its pre-Christmas magic and musical program in atmospheric
scenery. About 80 stalls situated in the brickworks museum, the community centre and
their surroundings offer a range of diverse culinary pleasures as well as useful presents
from craftsmen and hobby artists.

Deidesheim, a Christmas Paradise
on all four Advent weekends from Friday to Sunday:
27.11. - 29.11., 04.12. - 06.12., 11.12. - 13.12., 18.12. - 20.12.
Every year during the Christmas period the famous wine town of Deidesheim is turned
into a pre-Christmas treasure chest: along the „Heavenly mile“ between the Market
Square, the Castle Park and town square, over 100 exhibitors will have set up a small
world full of angels, crib figures, wooden toys, Christmas tree decorations and many
other arts and crafts attractions for young and old.
Artisans determine the pre-Christmas scene in the lovingly decorated medieval town
centre: Many of them can be watched over their shoulders during their activities whilst
the “Marktmeister” traditionally watches over the entire market..
Quality takes a top priority at the numerous stalls offering food and drinks where
a wide range of local specialities can be enjoyed.
Children‘s eyes will shine like Christmas baubles when watching St. Nicholas and
Knecht Ruprecht visit the market or when visiting the children’s bakery where they
can bake their own cakes or visit the puppet’s theatre in the town hall.
For adults, there is also an extensive program with different events, including concerts
in the churches and on the market square and the traditional nativity scene exhibition
and art exhibitions on the artist’s trail.

A Romantic Christmas Night
in the Forest

And to enjoy this experience at first hand you can go to Johanniskreuz at the heart of
the Palatinate Forest on the 3rd weekend of Advent. Here, at the info centre „Haus der
Nachhaltigkeit“, there are 70 Christmas stalls with savoury and sweet treats, as well
as examples of typical regional craftsmanship from the biosphere reserve Palatinate
Forest-Vosges du Nord. Especially for children, there are pony rides, events around
a campfire, a children’s playroom and a roundabout.
And of course, mulled wine will not be missing- offered by us in organic quality and
served in the rustic Palatinate wine glasses – the Mini-Urschoppen.
Brass and alpine horns set the musical scene for this festival and in the darkness of
night, the market is illuminated with torches and fires and on Saturday evening acrobats
of fire show their art. To make sure

which run frequently.

Historical Christmas Market
in Kloster Hornbach
Just in time for the holiday season of Advent, Kloster Hornbach is transformed into
an ideal place to celebrate Christmas. At the traditional Christmas market on the first
weekend of Advent (28th November and 29th November 2015) all friends of Christmas, both large and small, are spoilt with the specialities of Christmas - richly decorated
artisanal stalls, Christmas goodies and warm mulled wine, to put us all in the Christmas
mood. Regional specialities such as handmade, fluffy teddy bears, jewellery and Christmas decorations made ​​of wood, glass and ceramic are on offer. Freshly baked cookies,
mulled wine and waffles, as well as specialities from the monastery kitchen spoil you
with the culinary delights of Christmas. Together with the adjacent museum Historama
and a small but fine Christmas village on the front grounds of the monastery, it makes
up an ideal tour and contributes to the festive mood over the weekend.

in Eisenberg
Dear guests,
This year we would again like to invite you to
visit our Eisenberger Advent and Christmas
market. It is traditionally on the first Advent
weekend (27th to 29th November 2015)
and acts as the introduction to the numerous
Christmas markets which follow. As in previous
years, the Christmas market takes place in our
old town between the Stork Tower and the
Protestant Church. You will be enchanted by the unique atmosphere, here is where
your own very personal Christmas feeling starts. At one of the more than 20 vendors’
stalls you are bound to find something for you to put on your loved one‘s gift table.
We have original and versatile gift ideas on offer as well as hearty food treats and a full
range of hot and cold drinks to round off the program.

The Christmas market stands out not only by virtue of the magical illuminations at the

weekends in Advent the Christmas market is situated on the Carrières-sur-Seine (stage)
and the nearby Schillerplatz in the town centre – Fridays 16.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs,
Saturdays 11.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs and Sundays 13.00 hrs to

Großkarlbacher Christmas village
from 27th November – 29th December 2015
The tourist community of Großkarlbach invites you to their Christmas market in
the picturesque Kändelgasse. On the decorated village square you can enjoy food and
drinks. In the historic ambience of the old mill museum in the „Alten Dorfmühle“ you
have a choice of crafted products and tasteful gifts. Your children can make their own
advent wreath or help decorate the
Christmas tree with the kindergarten.
The Christmas market will be officially opened with music on Friday. The
Mill Cafe will be open on Sunday and
there are great prizes to be won in the
market’s raffle.

Christmas Village in Weilerbach
November 28th to December 06th 2015
The village square „Alter Bahnhof“ is illuminated for an entire week in the splendour of
the Weilerbacher Christmas Village. Seasonal homemade products such as handicrafts,
wooden toys, Christmas decorations and floral works will be on offer on the festival
grounds. In addition to this, the scent of mulled wine, waffles and almonds, or for those of you who prefer something more savoury, grilled salmon or Idar-Obersteiner spit
roasts. The daily changing stage program is designed by artists from the region. And for
the children, of course, they must not miss the visit of Santa Claus.

Traditionally celebrated on the first weekend of
Advent, the „Anneresl Markt,“ in Rheinzabern is an
original Christmas market siutated in the picturesque
village around the town hall, the museum and in
particular, the parish church of St. Michael. Every year,
this attractive market attracts countless guests with its
colourful flair and program of culture, art and cuisine.
The numerous illuminated wooden huts, stalls, art
exhibitions and crafts round off this program.
