Mae brwdfrydedd Rocio yn helpu pobl ifanc
Rocio Cifuentes works as a trustee on
three boards and as director of a youth
services organisation, all to ‘help young
people achieve their potential’.
Rocio is the daughter of political refugees
from Chile, who settled in Swansea
in 1977. After attending Cambridge
University, she worked in the third sector
in London before returning to Swansea
to become a sociology teacher, also
taking on roles as a Tenancy Support
Worker at the Swansea Young Single
Homelessness Project and as a researcher
at Swansea University. In 2004, she
became director of the Council of Ethnic
Minority Voluntary Organisations

facilitating training would be an advantage.

You will work as part of a team to deliver the Sanctuary in Wales
Project, providing advice and support to refugee and asylum
seeking women to access employment, training and educational
opportunities. You’ll have experience of working directly with
marginalised groups, an understanding of issues facing sanctuary
seekers, and a working knowledge of the employment and training
sectors.
