Far sedere i bambini in cerchio: “Sit down in a circle, please!” e chiedere loro se conoscono la storia dei
3 porcellini: “Three little pigs”. Introdurre la storia spiegando che i personaggi sono una famiglia di
“ I tre porcellini lasciano la
casa dove vivono insieme e decidono di costruire le proprie abitazioni. Uno sceglie di costruire una
casa di paglia, un altro usa il legno e il terzo, il più intelligente, costruisce una casa con mattoni. Il
lupo cattivo, un personaggio ricorrente in molte storie per bambini, riesce a distruggere le prime
due case ma non la casa di mattoni.” Le frasi “Not by the hair of my chimney-chin-chin!” e “I’ll
huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” sono diventate davvero famose tra i bambini
inglesi. Usare le flashcards per presentare i personaggi. Focalizzare l’attenzione degli alunni sulle
porcellini composta da : mummy pig, e tre fratelli Pinky, Porky e Puggy.
illustrazioni della storia e leggere il titolo. Per non introdurre troppi nuovi vocaboli in una lezione si
consiglia di suddividere la storia in episodi (6) e di insegnare una pagina per volta soffermandosi sui
nuovi vocaboli e sulle varie canzoncine proposte.
Iniziare ogni lezione con un nuovo ascolto delle pagine precedenti e in un secondo tempo introdurre i
nuovi vocaboli. Far ripetere il nuovo lessico sia coralmente sia individualmente e riprendere con
sistematicità i termini presentati nelle lezioni precedenti.
Il narratore della storia ha il compito di raccontare e guidare i bambini man mano che la storia
prosegue. Il suo ruolo è di spiegare ai bambini in italiano ciò che sta accadendo e ciò che i personaggi
dicono o cantano.
Far ascoltare le canzoncine più volte prima di farle ripetere. I testi sono molto facili e soprattutto
ripetitivi. Un’attività di chiusura di ogni episodio da svolgere sulla pagina illustrata, completa il lavoro
di approfondimento. Questi esercizi consolidano non soltanto le nuove parole ma soprattutto le
strutture e il lessico imparati durante l’anno.
Per rendere tutte le lezioni piacevoli e stimolanti, ricostruire la storia man mano che si svolge
servendosi delle flashcards e della Picture board.
