Exercises focus on joint flexibility and range of motion. Class is held in the shallow area of the pool. No swimming required. Class is ongoing and can be joined for any 8 visits at any time. The water walking program focuses on lower extremity function, designed to improve movement, coordination, balance and posture. A variety of exercises combined with gentle walking in our warm-water pool provide a “no impact” form of exercise that is safe for all levels of fitness, including joint replacement recipients. Tai Chi exercise is characterized by soft, slow , flowing movements and deep breathing which encourages Chi (energy flow) throughout the body. Tai Chi may increase your range of motion, and help improve your balance as well as get rid of stress. This class is suitable for anyone and can be adapted to fit specific needs. You will be shown how to search the web, bookmarking your favorite sites and given the basics of using a word processor and spreadsheet via MS Word and Excel. The first day consists of 10 hours of classroom education which covers firearm safety, handling, as well as the fundamentals of marksmanship skills. Other topics that will be discussed include holster options and placement, secondary weapon options, the criteria of self-defense law, and the parameters of a criminal assault. Day two will meet the required hands-on range time to increase the users confidence level by reinforcing what was learned in the classroom. Participants must provide their own firearm, 100 rounds of ammunition (NO RELOADS), a proper holster (BLACKHAWK SERPAs PROHIBITED), eye & ear protection, and note-taking materials. INTRODUCTION TO THE DEFENSIVE PISTOL #0806 Instructor: Brad, Kidd, Progressive Combative Systems This class is meant for anyone who is new to using a firearm as a self defense tool. Training will be conducted at a live range, where basic gun-handling fundamentals and defensive skill-sets will be practiced and reinforced during dry-fire and live-fire drilling. The material comes from various sources, including the National Rifle Association, law enforcement/military procedure and tactics, as well as defensive shooting competition.
