FAQs for adding wishes
The Add music wishes does not contain my wish. What gives?
The data for the proposals and recommendations is automatically updated on a regular basis.
It may take some time for a brand new album, song or artist, to be included.
Audials One can fulfill artist and song wishes that are not yet included in the proposal and
recommendation functions. Simply type in such wishes, directly.

Audials One's wishes settings allow you to control the speed of wish fulfilling, the format and
the quality of the recordings, and also to filter out certain unwanted content.

Sources
Select which file formats you would like to use as source material, and which sources Audials
One should use to record wishes from.
In the upper right of the Music wishes view, click
Manage sources.
Rule of thumb: the more sources allowed, the more wishes can be fulfilled quickly. But also,
the lower the quality of the recorded files.
Tip: The More settings >> page gives you full control over radio station quality and
music website content.
Avoid getting home-made cover versions from music websites
Some music websites deliver a large quantity of mixed-quality content, like home-made cover
versions, for example. Audials One's fulfill algorithm gives you control over loading that kind
of content.
In the upper right of the Music wishes view, click Manage sources. Under Music
websites, click Configure... and configure the fulfill algorithm.
Tip: Set the fulfill algorithm for artist wishes to "Complete official discography" to
load the artists' official releases and load only songs that match the track name. This
significantly reduces loading inofficial additional content, such as cover songs, remixes,
etc.

Optimal behavior during recording
A few best practices help to avoid many common recording problems, including cancelling
recordings.
Tip: Not all of the below points are necessarily obligatory for your browser and video
source.
Optimal behavior during the recording
• You can watch the video while it is recording. You can watch it in full screen to maximize
recording quality.
• If you don't want to watch while recording, you can switch off the monitor and your
speakers.
To avoid recording problems, such as for example cancelling recordings
• Do not use other programs during the recording to avoid processor workload.
Consider to stop programs running in the background, such as messengers.
• Don't pause the video until the recording has finished.
• Don't minimize the browser window playing the video.
• Don't open new browser tabs or windows.
| Save video | 60
• To avoid problems with detecting the video, start the recording in Audials One first, then
start the playback software, and finally play the video.
Recording from screen
Some videos cannot be detected automatically. In this case you can record the video with the
Record from screen function.
The Record from screen function records everything you see and hear. That means, for
example, that the controls of the video player will be recorded whenever they are visible.
Also, incidental noises, such as those from a chat program, will also be recorded.
Important: Close other programms during the recording process to avoid disruptions.
