Safety is a full time job
Safety is a full time job CUSTOMERS ARE MALUX´S MOST IMPORTANT COLLEAGUES The Malux concept stresses that Malux is a knowledge company that sells safety products for lighting, electrical, communication and data solutions. Maintaining a constantly high level of knowledge demands competence – primarily within the field of technological business – among both our service technicians and our sales staff. It is also a matter of being able to work in a flexible and down-to-earth manner, and to reject even good ideas so as to select only the best. We devote extra time and energy to working with our customers to analyse their needs for the very best solutions available. This means that you, our customer, never become simply a name on a list – instead, you become one of our important “colleagues”. Our knowledge and determination are to ensure that our customers get the right products at the right time – in line with their expectations to a specialist company. That is the Malux quality goal. We work according to ISO systems for both environmental management and quality assurance. As long as we continue to train and to change so as to accommodate market conditions, and as long as you, our customers, continue to make high demands on us, we will remain a supplier you can trust. That is a promise. Jörgen Schulze, The Malux Group The Malux Group is developing rapidly and employs a staff of highly skilled personnel with extensive knowledge within the following areas: lighting, electrical solutions, communication and data. Competence generates development and progress and, today, it is a crucial factor in determining whether a company succeeds or fails. A sense of thriving is also important to growth – and we want our customers to thrive with Malux. LIGHTING Explosion-protected lighting Comprises light fittings for installation on ceilings, walls or pole. Also includes floodlights and fittings for filament and discharge lights, which are the most appropriate solution for settings that make high demands on strong lighting, as well as a range of emergency lighting solutions. Robust torches Available in a range of sizes for areas where explosionprotected lighting is required. Suitable for rescue services, and for sectors in which there is a high risk of explosion. Some models have diodes as their light sources. Emergency lighting and control centres No fire protection system is complete without emergency lighting. In the event of an accident, emergency lighting can often be a life-saver – literally. With the broad range of Malux emergency lighting systems – which comprise intelligent emergency lighting control centres and specially designed emergency lighting units – and our highly skilled and very experienced staff, you can be sure of finding precisely the right solution for your property. Ground and orientation lighting Feelings of safety and security are reinforced when standard lighting in parks and other dark areas is supplemented by façade lighting and illumination around trees and plants. Outdoor ground mounted lighting can, for example, be installed in and next to roadways. Light fittings with diodes and colour changers provide an interesting and impressive effect. 4 Viewing glass lighting & viewing glass solutions An excellent aid for monitoring and inspecting the insides of mixers, blenders and cisterns. Also available with a camera function for monitoring from a control room. Both industrial and explosion-protected versions of the products in this range are available. Underwater lighting Installing good underwater lighting is an excellent way to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries in swimming pools and harbours, and lighting in fountains often makes the environment look more beautiful. Malux lighting solutions have been installed in numerous pools and fountains in Sweden and the other Nordic countries. Vandal-proof lighting Vandal-proof fittings with high IP and IK classifications – up to as much as 120 Joules. Practical fittings for installing in public settings such as pedestrian tunnels, train stations and underground stops. Other typical areas of application include prisons and hospitals – institutions that demand completely tight and durable fittings. Reliable lighting for safer environments. Malux vandal-proof solutions provide safer and more cost-efective lighting. Control panels for explosive environments Panels comprising contactors, earth fault breakers and automatic fuses can be tailor-made to suit customer requirements, and supplied encapsulated in a pressuretight shell. Even the customer’s own equipment – e.g. displays and various types of control units – can be fitted to make the panel complete. Electric heating Finned tube heaters, hotplates, through-flow heaters and thermostats for both standard industrial environments and workplaces where there is a high risk of explosion – with capacities of up to 4.5 MW. Operation and system development We can operate and host complete computer systems or parts of same – Web applications and e-mail systems, for example – including responsibility for all aspects: service, repairs, daily backups and so on. Our development department works with the development of client and Web applications in the fields of task and non-conformity management, integration, fire alarms and GPS positioning. MACHINES Explosion-protected electric motors We have a very wide range of 3-phase Ex-motors for demanding environments, including DC, brake and slipring motors. We can also supply AC motors and motors with built-in frequency control. Tachometers and encoders Malux has a complete range of tachometers and encoders for the measurement and regulation of the speed of revolution of rotating machines – even in explosive environments. The range also includes analog and digital encoders with hollow axles or free shaft journals. The signal from our encoders refers the current speed of revolution to a control system, for example. The signal can subsequently be used for the regulation and adjustment of the speed of revolution. Encoders and tachometer generators from Malux keep industrial machines spinning at just the rigt speed COMMUNICATION Antennas and cables Vehicle antennas – with or without GPS functionality – for mobile phones and 2-way radios provide better and more stable reception. We are quick to adapt to new technologies such as 3G, TETRA, WLAN, M2M and the remote reading of information. Battery chargers Efficient, cost-effective chargers for 2-way radio batteries. Available modules include code locks, cameras, lighting, letterboxes and free-standing pillars. Today, it is also common for building owners to install a gate video system, i.e. a video camera mounted by the entrance that displays an image of the visitor on a monitor by the answer unit. This makes a significant contribution to safety for both businesses and multi-residence buildings. Telephones for industrial use, and explosion protected telephones Our range comprises a variety of robust industrial and outdoor telephones of protection class IP66. The phones are available in plastic and metal, with or without a display.
