What do we do ?
Founded in 2004, Bavarian Beerhouse is the first and only
authentic restaurant and bar offering the Oktoberfest experience
in the United Kingdom. It has a unique combination of excellent food,
outstanding service, great German beers and a fantastic atmosphere.
Based on our long-term experience, we know
which food and drinks sell, and how to sell them effectively.
We will share this knowledge in order to achieve the best
profits for our franchisees.
Aside from the restaurants and bars, Bavarian Beerhouse Ltd
runs a fully equipped catering unit, organising catering and
‘Oktoberfest parties’ at business parks, corporate companies
and private functions all over the UK.
We now operate two busy locations in London, where we
serve well-known brands from Germany such as Erdinger,
Krombacher, Warsteiner, Kaltenberg, Jägermeister, Obstler
and Berentzen Schnaps (shots), as well as wines and
non – alcoholic drinks.
Over the past five years we have served over half a million
customers at our first location alone.
The food menu features a wide selection of authentically
sourced Bavarian specialities, including favourites such as
Obzazda cheese, Leberkäse (meat loaf), Wurstplatten (sausage
platters), Münchener Schweinshaxe (roasted pork shank)
and Kaiserschmarrn (pancakes with raisins).
What can I earn?
It depends on how well you run your business and the type of franchise that you operate.
Our own Bavarian Beerhouse locations generate an average weekly turnover of £24,000 each. Of course, these figures aren’t guaranteed,
but they are a good indication of performance once the location becomes better known.

a turnkey offer in a new location, or a conversion franchise

We assist franchisees in finding the best premises and in setting up their new
business with a turnkey start – up package which provides everything they
need – from restaurant and bar fittings to beer.
Depending on the location, a Bavarian Beerhouse requires from about £80,000
personal investment, should enjoy £500,000+ turnover by its second year
and can enjoy a healthy profit, as well as additional income from special and
corporate events and catering.

A Bavarian Beerhouse conversion
franchise is similar to the turnkey franchise but
allows those who already own licensed premises to
convert it into a Bavarian Beerhouse, resulting in an

What are the start – up costs
for a Bavarian Beerhouse?
What does it cost?
We know our franchisees are sensible enough to appreciate that we have to charge something fair so they get the best start – up
and ongoing support.
So here is the rundown:
OUR FRANCHISE FEE

This is the license fee we charge for initial support
and for the use of our brand, excluding supplies.

We charge our retail franchisees a management services
fee of 5% of turnover and ask for contributions to a
national marketing fund of 1.5% of turnover.
TOTAL COST OF
INVESTMENT:
We can’t sensibly suggest total investment fees in this
brochure before meeting you and knowing where you
want to set up your business. The costs of premises,
contractors, staffing etc. vary greatly in different parts
of the country.
However, on the basis that you can get up to 70% of the
cost from the banks, a very loose guide of the sort of investment you may need to make personally is (depending
on your financial status) a minimum cash investment of
£80,000 with the balance of the franchise being financed
by the bank.
