legendary Irishman
behind the chimichurri
sauce. As the story goes,
Jimmy fought alongside
the Argentinians for
independence in the early
1800s. The revolutionaries
quickly found out he wasn’t
much of a shot, but he sure
made a mean green sauce.
The sauce was popular and
the recipe was passed on.
However, ‘Jimmy McCurry’
was difficult for the native
people to say, so they
called it “Chimichurri.”
