simultaneous machining.
New trends create new challenges. As metal removal production for single part and
small series manufacturing moves to towards large series production, there is a
need for a machine design that covers the entire range. With not only the full capability to handle various applications, but easily expandable, compact and at a reasonable price: the DMU / DMC monoBLOCK® Series meets those requirements.
This Series represents the latest concept in Universal Milling Machines with its
monoBLOCK® design – its ability and range of applications for cubic workpieces,
from single to serial production, is unrivalled in this machine class. Whether for
classic universal operation, for tool and mould making with slanted tools, complete
machining with 5-sided / 5-axis machining, or where negative angles are required,
the DMU / DMC monoBLOCK® Series provides state-of-the-art and efficient machining.

DMU 60 / 80 / 100 monoBLOCK ®:
100% higher dynamics, 30% shorter job
times and 25% lower space requirements!
Performance without limits, maximum flexibility, all at the same price – the new
DMU monoBLOCK® Series is in a class by itself. These modular machines can be
expanded with various spindle options, between 10,000 rpm. and 42,000 rpm. They
have a new milling head with a large swivel range in the B-axis for negative angles
up to 30°, as well as a reduced distance between the horizontal spindle and table
surface. These innovative, easy access and user-friendly machines open up a new
range of production for efficient universal applications.
In addition to the new compact monoBLOCK® design providing a 25% reduction
of required space, the most noticeable feature of the ergonomic machine design is
the revolving door that with single motion gives access to 100% of the work area.
DMU 60 / 80 / 100 monoBLOCK®:
3- to 5-axes, the highest dynamics, a new swivelmilling head with B-axis for negative angles up to
30°, and a unique selection of various spindles.
The modular monoBLOCK® design ensures the
necessary rigidity and offers the best ergonomics,
with large viewing panel and a wide-opening
revolving door, for simple loading and direct access
to the work table.

A Solid Performer!
The innovative monoBLOCK® design of the DMU Series has numerous benefits. It
has increased sturdiness, more speed, more precision, better surface finishes and a
smaller footprint. The design makes it possible for longitudinal and lateral motions
to be performed by the milling head, with only vertical motions performed by the
table. This leads to greater dynamics and ensures optimal traction in the Z-axis
guide-way, and yet machining quality is not affected by the machining height. The
dynamics of the machine series is reflected in rapid traverse speeds of 30 m/min
up to 40 m/min in the rotary axes. The modular monoBLOCK® design ensures the
solid stable base and also provides optimal ergonomics and ease of use. The funnel
design of the machine bed is also a new feature that ensures the best retrieval of
swarf and coolant.
The extensive standard equipment package includes the liquid-cooled motor
spindle, digital drives with direct measuring systems, roller guide-ways free from
float, 3-point support for quick installation, scraper-belt chip conveyor, temperature
compensation and state-of-the-art, open CNC-controls.

Simple expansion options and
unparalleled spindle diversity gives you
more flexibility than ever before.
Motor spindles with 12,000, 18,000, 24,000 (HSK-A63), 30,000 (HSK-E50), and
42,000 rpm. (HSK-E50), available for all models, leads to the best milling performance and surface qualities in HSC-operations. A torque spindle for the DMU 80 /
100 monoBLOCK® with 286 Nm and 10,000 rpm., combined with the optional
production package (internal coolant supply, rotating viewing glass, work area
flusher, etc.) and the extremely stable monoBLOCK® design, lead to lucrative
metal removal performance. The options of the electronic hand wheel, measuring
probe, tool measurement in the work area and oil mist separator offer the right
solution for every need.
The more specific your machining needs, the more you will come to appreciate
the expansion options of the DMU 60 / 80 / 100 monoBLOCK®. These include the
manual swivel head with adjustment support and direct measuring system, a
CNC-controlled B-axis, which allows machining with slanted tools, and which
allows complex 5-sided / 5-axis machining when combined with the NC-attachment
table or the NC-workpiece unit. The NC-attachment table is also available for all
three models and can even be mounted horizontally on the DMU 60 monoBLOCK®

Compact Universal Machining Centre –
all inclusive!
This compact Universal Machining Centre comes standard-equipped with 5 axes,
making it unique in its class. This successful machining centre is based on the
monoBLOCK® design, paired with a fast and compact pallet changer and in combination with an optimized work area and excellent control options, the DMC 60 T can
deliver productive solutions even for exceptional machining tasks. To make certain
that all requirements are met, the production package is already fitted as standard.
High dynamics on all five axes, chip-to-chip times of less than 6 seconds, a chain
magazine for up to 180 tools with fast double gripper, and a milling head with 150°
swivel range are some of the outstanding features that have been designed specifically for universal productivity. This is unparalleled technological equipment that
accomplishes 5-axis / 5-sided machining in previously unattainable manufacturing
dimensions, to set new standards in the universal compact class.

Technology and Options
Cutting-edge technology for both the
standard version and customized options
The DMC 60 T possesses wide-ranging scope with its NC-controlled swivel milling
head which can be seen in many ways. The machine comes with a 121 Nm-torque /
28-kW spindle, with a standard 12,000 rpm., or optional with 18,000 or 24,000 rpm.
In addition, it features a standard-equipped NC-controlled B-axis, which allows
machining of negative angles, due to its swivel range of 30° on the horizontal or
vertical axes. Rapid traverse speeds of 50 m/min, accelerations of 0.6 g in the X-, Y-,
and Z-axes, and the 40-bar coolant supply are additional features that ensure increased productivity. More proof of the almost unlimited universality of the DMC
60 T are the operational design and the work area, which has been optimized
throughout, with a travel of 780 mm in the X-axis – unique in the 600 machine class.
The combination of the B-axis with a swivel range increased to 150°, pallet
changer and tool changer with double gripper gives the operator an impressive
amount of freedom for highly productive 5-axis / 5-sided machining.

DMU / DMC monoBLOCK® Series, feature high storage capacities, extremely fast
