ABOUT HUDSON
Hudson, Ohio is a city rich in history and tradition. Its old world charm has
been carefully blended with the modern needs of the community. Hudson
has earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places for its
amazing architecture and also for the distinct moments marked in history,
which include being a vital link in the Underground Railroad and home to
famous abolitionist John Brown.
Named after founder David Hudson, the city is home to many art, music,
and food & wine events throughout the year. More than 1,100 acres of park
land provide ample hiking, biking, fishing, golf, children’s play areas and
picnic facilities. The notable historic marker, the clock tower, located on the
north side of the town green, serves as a central meeting point and focus
for many of the special events in Hudson.
With more than 100 independently owned, regional and national chain
restaurants and retail shops, Hudson is the perfect place for shopping,
dining and playing. Savor the charm of downtown Hudson as you stroll
through the relaxed setting of our historic district and enjoy all Hudson
has to offer.
From summer concerts on the green, old-fashioned ice cream socials,
home and garden tours to amazing food and wine events, Hudson offers
something for everyone, and you can extend your stay with a night at one
of our charming bed and breakfast inns. We invite you to visit our vibrant
community, enjoy our unique restaurants and shops, and bask in the arts
and culture that fill Hudson’s calendar of events.
