BACKGROUND AND DEVELOPMENT

Rang Dong Company was established in 1985 which majored in weaving
fabric and dyeing cloth in Thai Binh Province. Then, the company
expanded and became Binh Minh Textile Dyeing Limited Company
(Bitexco) in 1993. At that time, the business scope was mainly
producing, trading and importing-exporting textiles, fabrics.

To be on the same path of country development, Bitexco currently not
only operates in textile industry but also becomes a multi-business
group with the most prestigious services in Vietnam.

Bitexco has diversified business scopes including real estates, garment, mineral,
fresh water, infrastructure construction, hydro-electricity, wooden furniture,
agricultural products, and petroleum storage port…
•
To expand more effective business, in 2007, Mr. Le Minh Hieu (the founder of
Bitexco) divided the company into two groups. i) Bitexco of real estates and
hydro-electricity ii) Bitexco Nam Long controlled by himself. This would help to
manage and operate the company well.
•
Bitexco Nam Long operates similarly to Bitexco. Anyway, it also includes
traditional business copes such as fabric weaving, fresh water treatment,
agricultural products, pharmaceutical products, petroleum storage port…

Some typical projects in property sector:
• In 2001, Bitexco Office Building was constructed on Nguyen Hue Street, District 1, HCM
City. It has 20 floors with total usable area of 7,940 m 2 . This building was completed in
2003.
• The Manor in Hanoi (2003-2006)
• The Manor in HCM (2003 – 2006)
• Five star hotel in the National Conference Center - Hanoi (2006-2009), The Garden in
Hanoi (2005 – 2007).
• Malang – HCM City Residential Area Complex (more than 67.000 m2 located in 04 main
streets of Nguyen Trai – Cong Quynh – Nguyen Cu Trinh – Tran Dinh Xu, District 1.
Population is about 10,800 people.

MINERAL WATER AND DOMESTIC WATER:
- Mineral water: Vital Mineral Water was established in
1996 with modern technology and equipment of Italy. Vital
has funded many cultural and politic activities such as
Tiger Cup 1998 and 2000, Dunhill Cup and U17 Asia Cup
in 1999. Vital was the main sponsor for the Sea Games 22 in
Vietnam
- Domestic water and water for industrial zones: the water
plant has been invested since 1996. Initially, it was a water
station with capacity of 2,000m3 per day, and so far its
capacity has been increased to 20,000m3 per day to
meet increasing water demands of factories in the industrial
zones and daily needs of people in Thai Binh Province.

TEXTILE:
This has been the traditional field of the company from
1985 to present. Main products are exporting towels,
yarns of towels, Polyester yarn PE20 / 1, PE68 / 1 and
industrial thread including yarn PE20 / 6, PE20 / 9,
PE20/12, PE20/15, CT20 / 1, CT32 / 1, twine 32 / 2, CT20
/ 4, CT20 / 2 ... Most of the company's products have
been exported to America, Canada, Japan, Taiwan,
Korea, Europe.

1. Mills of textile, printing and dyeing completely export towels with capacity of 3,000 tons per year.
Total investment capital of 62.5 billion. To be completed in 2006.
2. Fiber plant with capacity of 3,800 tons per year. Total investment capital of 106 billion. To be
completed in 2008.
3. Clean water plant with capacity of 20,000 M3 per day. Total investment capital of 32.5 billion. To
be completed in 2005.
4. Water plant in Hung Yen province, capacity of 10,000 m3/day. Total investment capital of 27.6
billion. To be completed in 2008.
5. Office for lease located at 63A Vo Van Tan, Ward 6, District 3, HCM City. Total investment capital
of 135 billion. Total area of 4578 m2, 12-storey high.
6. Expanding the fibers plant with capacity 1,560 tons per year. Total investment capital of 35.5

CAI MEP PETROLEUM STORAGE PORT
•
The port system for 80,000 ton ships (the largest ships in Vietnam now) and fuel storage system with capacity
of 120,000 m3, modern technology installed on an area of 27 ha (in the first stage, the investment value to be
50 million USD) and in the second stage, more developed capacity of 280,000 m3 and port system of 30,000
tons (This shall be invested by 2011 when the first stage went into operation) in Cai Mep - Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Besides, the system of the petroleum storage port in Hai Phong shall be invested for distribution of petroleum
products in Northern Vietnam.
•
The first stage including the port for 80,000 ton ships and 120,000 m3 petroleum storage system will be put
into operation in the first quarter of 2011 and shall become the largest petroleum storage port in Vietnam
including the system of bonded warehouses. With the introduction of port and warehouse system in
operation, VTP Company shall become the first private equity company to import petroleum in Vietnam
(installed with port system, storage, transport ships and distribution systems).
