UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENT
“ART IN THE PARK”
We are looking forward to some exciting times in the City of
Hamtramck! Along with our selection as the recipient of the DIA
Inside/Out spring installation of nine masterpiece reproductions, we
have been selected to host “DIA Away” the “portable” art museum open
for public viewing.
The City will be hosting a special “ART IN THE PARK” twoevening event (May 12, 13) at Zussman Park which will feature the
popular DIA Inside/Out and DIA Away programs.
Plans are underway with community stakeholders who are working
together to showcase local art and create some enjoyable things to do
with our friends and neighbors at the newly renovated Zussman Park.
The plans include walking tours, art pieces in the park, music and
entertainment, children’s programs and more!
Mark your calendar! Grab your lawn chair or blanket and bring your
neighbors and friends for a fun-filled Art in the Park event! Watch for
details and event updates on the City of Hamtramck Facebook page and
in the local newspaper.
Any questions or want to get involved with the plans? Contact the
Department of Community and Economic Development, Kathy
Angerer, Director (313) 876-7700 ext. 326.
