Retail Partnerships
Team GARAGE were thrilled to announce their partnership
with global publisher TASCHEN, making GARAGE the first
magazine to be stocked in their stores worldwide.
Issue #9 was released in TASCHEN Stores and featured in
tailor-made window displays during Fashion Week at its Milan,
Paris, London, and New York store locations.
TASCHEN gave GARAGE readers a special sneak peek of
its forthcoming Naomi Campbell monograph, including personal
insight from Naomi on how this spectacular volume came to
be – this preview had a signigicant effect on our online presence.

Moscow
Garage Museum of Contemporary Art is a place
for people, art and ideas to create history. Through
an extensive program of exhibtions, events and
education, research and publishing, the institution
reflects on current developments in Russian and
international culture, creating opportunities for public
dialogue as well as the production of new work
and ideas in Moscow. At the center of all of these
activities is the Museum’s collection, which is the
first archive in the country related to the development
of Russian contemporary art from the 1950’s
through the present.
Founded in 2008 by Dasha Zhukova, Garage is the
first philanthropic organization in Russia to create
a comprehensive public mandate for contemporary
art and culture. Open seven days a week, it was
initially housed in the renowned Bakhmetevsky Bus
Garage in Moscow, designed by the Constructivist
architect Konstantin Melnikov. In 2012 Garage
relocated to a temporary pavilion in Gorky Park,
specifically comissioned from an award winning
architect Shigeru Ban. A year later, a purpose built
Education Center was opened next to the pavilion.
In June 2015, Garage moved to its first permanent
home - a groundbreaking preservation project by
Rem Koolhaas - that transforms the famous 1968
Vremena Goda (Seasons of the Year) Soviet
Modernist restaurant in Gorky Park into a contemporary museum.
Garage is a non-profit project of The IRIS Foundation.

TASTE THE GloSSy, SHiny
LIPs of an attractive girl – a synthetic celluloid strawberry note,
with an electrical spices accord, as a
signal of excitement and transgression.
And that’s where we stop, without getting
into sexual love. It is vibrant, pulsating,
and spangly, because emin’s neon is sexy
but also seedy and trashy. Unlike classic
fragrance constructions, It Was Just a

is capturing a brief moment in life
that leaves no trace beyond a
delicious flash of memory.”
