General directions:
● Pattern pieces and application motifs can be found at the end of the directions. No seam allowances
are included. Print out and enlarge 200 %. Use the gage to check for accuracy and adjust with a copy
machine. Make templates for pattern pieces 2, 7, 12, 14, 16 and 17, adding a 0,75 cm seam allowance.
Following the manufacturer's directions, trace the appliqué motifs 1, 3–6, 8–11, 13, 15 and 18 directly onto
the fusible web and cut out, leaving ~ 5 cm on all aides. Iron the web, paper side up, to the wrong side of
given fabric. Cut out the shape exactly on the drawn line. Carefully pull away paper, and fuse the patches
to the front of pocket, referring to diagram. To finish the raw edges, machine satin stitch with matching or
contrasting thread, or zigzag.
● Cutting: The following additional needed pieces include 0,75 cm seam allowance.

bottom. Turn right sides out. Fold along a long side and both short sides of strip 2 x a seam allowance
0,75 cm to wrong side. Zigzag stitch or make a roll hem on the raw edge of other long side. Gather to
make a ruffle ~ 13 cm long. Appliqué patch (11) and stitch ruffle onto the bottom of dress. Appliqué
pattern piece (2) along the shoulders and sides leaving jacket open. Sew hooks and eyes in place.
Pocket 2:
Appliqué patches (15), (3) then (4). Cut the dark blue satin ribbon in half. Stitch in the middle of ribbon
centered onto the shoulders. Tie a bow.

Pocket 3:
Cut 4 strips for the straps. Pair 2 strips right sides together. Round corners on one small side. Sew along
both lengths and rounded off side. Turn right sides out. Cut 2 rectangles 8 x 5 cm for the front pocket.
Place right sides together and round off the bottom corners. Sew leaving an opening on the bottom to
turn. Turn right sides out. Appliqué patches (3), (5) then the straps along short raw edges. Sew front
pocket on by hand. Add 2 no-sew-on snaps onto the straps and bib.
Pocket 4:
For the vest, pair 2 x pattern pieces (7) and (7 r) right sides together and sew along the shoulders and
front-opening, sandwiching the zipper between. Turn right sides out. For the skirt turn a seam allowance 2
x 0,75 cm to the wrong side of the rectangle along a long side and both short sides. Ruffle the raw edge to
the length ~ 8 cm. Appliqué patch (6), then the vest along the out line. Sew ruffled edge of skirt just below
the vest. Fold a seam allowance to the wrong short sides of the medium blue satin band, stitch on as
waist band.

Pocket 5:
For the skirt turn a seam allowance 2 x 0,75 cm to the wrong side along a long side and both short sides.
Ruffle the raw edge to the length of ~ 8 cm. Likewise, make the pant cuff ruffles, using the 2 strips and
end length ~ 4 cm. For the arm ruffles zigzag or make a roll hem along one long side and both short sides.
Ruffle the raw edge of other long side to the length of ~ 5 cm. For the belt, press both strips in half along
the length wrong sides together. Open. Fold again in half and scant stitch. Slip belt into buckle. Appliqué
patches (8), (9), (10), (18) then top stitch the arm, pant cuff ruffles and skirt along raw edges. Place belt
over skirt waist line and appliqué along short sides.
Pocket 6:
For the side panel sew patches (12) and (12 r) right sides together along all sides but the left. Turn. Make
a 1 cm button hole as shown in the diagram. For the pocket on the panel, fold the rectangle in half right
sides together and short sides matching. Round off the 2 corners on short sides. Sew leaving an opening
to turn on the bottom. Turn. Scant stitch the pocket onto the side panel. Appliqué (8), (9), then (11).

For the vest pair 2 x pattern pieces (14) and (14 r) right sides together and sew along the neckline, front
opening and bottom. Turn right sides out, Appliqué patches (3), (13), then (4) along the shoulders and
sides. Add the Velcro to vest.
Pocket 8:
For the 2 ruffles, press a 2 x 0,75 cm seam allowance to wrong side along one long side and both short
sides of each strip. Zigzag or make a roll hem on other long side of each strip and ruffle to the length ~ 8
cm. For the collar, sew 2 x 2 pattern pieces (16) right sides together along all but one short side. Turn fight
sides out. Appliqué patches (8), (9), (15), then (11). Appliqué the collar overlapping along the shoulders.
Sew both ruffles along the raw edges somewhat overlapping onto patch (11) and 2,5 cm from the bottom.

Pocket 9:
For the ruffle, turn a 2 x 0,75 cm seam allowance to wrong sides of a long and both short sides of both
strips. Place narrow strip right side up on top of wider strip right side up, raw edges matching. Zigzag or
make a roll hem along raw edge. Ruffle to the length ~ 13 cm. For the bib, sew 2 pattern pieces (17) right
sides together along all sides but the neckline. Turn right sides out. Appliqué patches (9), (13), then (17)
along the neckline. Sew the ruffles 7 cm from the bottom onto patch (13). Cut the blue satin band in half.
Fold one short edge of each band to wrong side. Sew onto the sides and bottom of patch (3). Tie a bow.
Putting together the pocket rectangles (9 X)
For the button loop cut a piece of cord 7 cm long. Fold in half so ends are next to each other and baste
centered on the front and top side of pocket. Place a front side and back rectangle in the fabric matching
the corresponding rectangle in quilt plan right sides together (refer to diagram). Place a batting rectangle
on top. Sew together along the top small sides, catching the loops. Turn so wrong sides are together and
sides/bottom matching. Baste. Stitch 3 cm along top (pocket opening). Lay pocket onto corresponding
fabric rectangle both with right sides facing up and bottom edges matching. Align sides of pocket and
rectangle. Baste. Fold 2 pleats each 0,75 cm from the sides on the bottom of pocket and towards the
sides, so that the bottom edge of pocket and bottom of rectangle now coincide. Baste.
