Elevator Community?
The National Association of Elevator Contractors is proud to have serviced our industry since 1949. We are
unquestionably the leading trade association in the elevator industry, and the benefits of membership
in NAEC continue to grow.
With this package of information, we are hoping that we can persuade you to become part of the elevator
community by joining NAEC. Our membership, consisting of contractor, supplier and professional companies,
working together in every aspect of the elevator industry, would be pleased to count you among their ranks.
We are confident you will find membership in NAEC beneficial in all aspects of company management and/
or ownership. NAEC sponsors a Spring Educational Conference geared toward business owners and upper
management, and an Annual Convention and Exposition that provides excellent opportunities for personal
and professional growth. Most of our members will tell you that the networking amongst themselves at these
venues is invaluable to their businesses. NAEC helps equip the elevator industry with the skills necessary to
effectively compete in the ever-changing business environment.
The Board of Directors is dedicated to developing new and innovative programs to serve our members. NAEC
offers the CET™ Program, a four-year education program and a CET™ certification for elevator technicians; the
CAT™ Program, a two-year education program and CAT™ certification for accessibility and private residence lift
technicians. NAEC offers a wide variety of elevator specific continuing education courses on our eLearning site.
Most state licensing boards and the CET/CAT Certification Programs recognize NAEC Approved Continuing
Education for licensing renewals. A complete list of approved courses is available on our constantly improving
website (www.NAEC.org). In addition to these programs and features, the number of convention exhibitors
and attendees continues to grow.
The enclosed material outlines the benefits and services provided to NAEC members. Join NAEC and
take advantage of the combined knowledge of our members. Both you and your business will benefit by being
a part of this great Association.
I, along with the rest of the NAEC staff and Board of Directors, stand ready to answer any questions you may
have. I hope we hear from you soon.
