The Ventura Disc Golf Club (VDGC) and Disc Golf Association (DGA)
are pleased to announce the 2009 Coyote Classic. This annual event will be
held in Ventura, California the week of October 24-25, 2009. Tournament
play will be conducted on the Coyote Point disc golf course located in the
Lake Casitas Recreation Area. The event will feature approximately 110
competitors, and spectators from around California, Oregon, and Nevada.
For those not familiar, Disc Golf is a game that combines perhaps the two
most popular recreational outlets in American culture: throwing a Frisbee
and playing golf. Our players and fans have grown rapidly over the last decade, as measured by the
number of courses installed, the number of tournaments conducted, our growing membership, the number
of articles published in business journals, as well as the sheer number of players we find on our courses.
The VDGC is currently seeking sponsors for the event. Sponsorship commitments are greatly appreciated
and range from individuals to corporations. Not only will your involvement and sponsorship help ensure
that this event is a huge success, it will also offer you and your company an opportunity to promote your
products and services to this dynamic group of competitors and spectators. A tournament of this caliber is
time consuming and expensive. We hope that with your kind help, we will be able to raise enough funds
from the 27 tee signs sponsors and raffle donations to provide all players and spotters with a wonderful
players package and a dinner on Saturday night. With your support, we can put on a professional and
