PROJECT OV ERV IEW :
In partnership Sanctuary Pointe Resort and Conference Center coming on line in a couple of
years, we are developing a hospitality and outdoor recreation complex unlike anything in the
Southeastern United States.
Sanctuary Pointe has a spectacular location situated on 325 acres of peninsula of land with
direct interstate access at Exit 1 off I-85 (North and South). This location has more than 40,000
vehicles pass by every day which could translate into more than 14 million people passing by
Sanctuary Pointe and the GOC each year. Sanctuary Pointe is providing the GOC access to a
large section of its 325 acres of lake-front property on Lake Hartwell in Oconee County, SC.
Lake Hartwell offers 56,000 acres of fishing, boats and watersports recreation and is the 5th
most visited Army Corps lake in the US. The Corps estimates that approximately 10 million
people visit the lake each year.
GREAT OUTDOORS CENTER
We are building an outdoor recreation hospitality venue that will include visitor services,
classrooms, training rooms, interpretive resources, outdoor recreation retail, Adventure
Center Pavilion, Lakeside Center, Adventure Pavilion, amphitheater, restaurant, special events
pavilions, fire pits, courtesy docks and trail systems.
The GOC complex and year-round special events will be multi-generational and will provide a
wide variety of outdoor recreational and educational experiences for everyone.
GREAT OUTDOORS CENTER
We are building an outdoor recreation destination that will inspire individuals, couples, families
and groups to get out of the house and experience the great outdoors. The GOC sites and events
will be multi-generational and will provide a variety of experiences for each season of the year.
