Excursions

Jyllands Park Zoo. Take a unique cycle
trolley ride from Herborg towards

Visit the abandoned Abildå Brown Coal Field, which is now an
exciting nature area and picnic location. The field can be seen at
work following prior agreement. Trehøje Museum exhibits a large
collection of locally collected workshop environments as well as
some farming equipment. Enjoy the town’s green outdoor areas
- Vildbjerg Lund and Vildbjerg Søpark. 20 minutes to Herning

Østergaards Hotel is central Jutland’s largest conference and
course hotel with facilities that can accommodate up to 400

The hotel has 80 rooms, of which 45 were fully renovated in

Østergaards Hotel is located in the heart of Jutland close by to

Hotel Årslev Kro consists of three wings of rooms with a
total of 78 hotel and motel rooms.
The first building was constructed in the middle of the 19th
century, the other additions are from 1974. The original building
was a farm building and was later converted into a roadside inn.

the so-called Teaterkælder. The plan is to extend the hotel with a

From the hotel’s cosy Restaurant Bitten, there is a view of the
hotel’s green outdoor areas. The food is based on dishes with
inspiration from the French and new Nordic cuisine with focus on
the season’s fresh and local raw ingredients.

Universe is four kilometres from the hotel and offers plenty of
educational experiences. Nordborg lake is

is 7.5 kilometres long and invites

Haderslev Cathedral has an eventful history and contains superior
church art and inventory. Go for a sail on

There are ten kilometres to Karrebæksminde’s wonderful bathing

Hotel Vinhuset exudes atmosphere in its historical settings.
Vinhuset has been the town’s hotel since 1778. Parts of the
fantastic building date all the way back to the 16th century.
The wine trader, Hansteen, died in 1754 and his daughter
Maren was given permission by the king to continue the
wine trading after the death of her father.
Since then, the building has been called Vinhuset
(Wine House).

Restaurant
The hotel’s à la carte restaurant is located in the oldest part of
Vinhuset, which can be dated all the way back to the 16th
century. In the old days, the beautiful vaults were used as
storerooms, but that does not make the restaurant any less
beautiful and unique today.

A cosy little courtyard garden as well as bar lounge area is part of
Hotel Vinhuset. There is free wi-fi throughout the hotel.

Excursions
Næstved is one of Denmark’s oldest towns. The island, Gavnø,
just outside of Næstved is home to a castle, a convent church,
castle brewery and Sørøverland (Pirate Land) for the children.
Ten kilometres from Næstved is the small fishing village,
Karrebæksminde, with South Zealand’s
best bathing beach. The major family
attraction is BonBon Land with
